US Politicians Insider Trading Heating Up

Nancy Pelosi who is currently speaker of the house has traded over $74 million in volume since 2020 based on housestockwatcher.com. That is equal to around eight trades a quarter.

Josh Gottheimer beats most of his constituents with a shattering 1082 transactions in the past three years. A trading volume totally over $91 million with over $46 million in the markets based on latest filing.

So all the politicians have to post their trades to the public hence sites like housestockwatcher.com is able to accurately list out members of congress and their trades. The politicians are require to post their trades at the end of each calendar quarter.

Conclusions

Retail investors or traders have now one more hurdle to content with when investing. They have to compete with politicians that have insider information to trade ahead of the retail. In a way politicians front run the retail trading.

While majority of US citizens are struggling with the current inflation, housing shortage, supply chain challenges, and energy shortage we lose sight of how much the politicians are earning through trading in the markets.

Wait a minute..... Isn't it a good thing to trade stock of the corporation you are working for or with? Shouldn't that show you believe in the project or something?

Yes but these politicians trade the corporation stocks before they vote to boost the corporation potential profits. Basically trading ahead of good news because they know they before hand which companies will benefit.

I lolled at the recent question some reporter did to Pelosi asking about his husbands trading, and she just denied everything and ended the Q&A xD
They are no longer even trying to hide the fact that they got stupidly rich over the past two years (mainly but not only), and the people still do nothing and praise both sides.

I saw that too and agree. She think she is protected because she is a politician. Also seen the photos she took with George Soros. I no longer admire him because my thinking is not align with his. He says he did some investing that appears dirty or not ethical but if he didn’t do it someone else would. Well to me I would say why do it at all when it’s wrong. I don’t have to go down the morally wrong path to make a buck.

I am not surprised that the politicians are corrupt. It reminds me of the time that Pelosi rejected the notion that they could even buy or sell individual stocks.

This is why a lot of Americans don’t trust our government. The corruption is so wide spread that they can’t hide it.
