Splinterlands - My New Additions (Oct. 2022)

With less than a day left to this season and the recent pump in DEC price I decided to add a few more cards to my collection. I went with adding three max level rewards and four max level chaos cards.

The chaos additions will bring in a stronger setup for me, especially in Prismologist and Temporal Master since I have only a level 1 and no Temporal Master in use prior to the purchases.

In total I spent a little over $100 for the cards but I consider it worth it as I eye toward getting a max Chaos set in the near future. I don't have exact date on when I can achieve this but steady have been adding to my collection.

A quick glance at my overall Chaos collection and what I am missing or not at max level yet.

As I went through the cards myself it is clear I have a ways to go in building a max level Chaos set. Never the less each time I am able to add some cards I am getting closer to that objective.

Conclusions

With a new proposal likely coming out soon regarding the burning of additional Chaos packs that are not able to sell it will definitely limit the amount of Chaos cards in circulation. This is another motivation for me to try to get a max set before packs are no longer sale from in game.

When Splinterlands discussed the proposal they also mentioned the set time frame for the next set of cards to be printed which is expected to be some time in Summer of 2023. This would mean in less than a year from now it would be almost certain that Chaos packs will end while the new card packs, "Rebillion", arrives. There has not been once in the game where two or more game packs sets in the series sold at the same time so I doubt this time it will be any different. If the proposal gets shut down there will in all likelihood some other way where the Chaos packs get drained out.

Those are nice cards you have bought. Now it's cheap to accumulate as many as you can. When there's less printed it's only going to cost more to buy. I just got a few legendarys, good for the collection power and value !

I think you will get there soon enough and I don't like the pack burn. It just doesn't seem to bode that well for everyone involved because it just looks like the Team thinks there is too much CL cards out there. However, since they set a cap, I think they should just reserve those packs and put those packs out as prizes.

Burning packs may likely force demand and push prices higher. Hopefully enough players will be buying packs before any get burned. Imagine if 200k packs bought each day based on that being the active daily accounts then all packs will be long gone before burned. !WINE !LOL !PIZZA

It can but I think it's bad to just burn packs. I think having the team buy the packs and then pass them out as rewards is better to attract more users. I just don't think our current user base is not enough.

I don't like the pack burn too because I have been building my deck gradual and I am proud of where I'm am burn of packs simply means some chaos monsters will increase in price and it wont me at all

If you don't include the promo sets such as orbs, dice, and now riftwatchers then yes each series of cards starting from alpha, beta, untamed and now chaos are all separate and stand alone when sold in game. The next set rebellion already in the works and as mentioned by the developers slated to come in Summer 2023.
