Splinterlands - Dragon Splinter Focus
Its been over a week since the new focus rewards started and after the first few days of getting use to it I have gotten the hand of it.
I am able to get around 5 - 10 chests a day and the rewards are better than what was in past seasons. In addition I am now playing in Gold I league therefore may likely have given me better pulls in rewards. With a little over 5 days left I hope to finish the season in diamond league.
The new focus dragon is one that is brand new in the game all together. That is I have not seen the dragon splinter in a daily quest. This puts the game in a different dimension with dragon splinter now a daily quest. On the other hand gone are the no use of neutral, sneak and snipe daily quests.
Reward chests for daily focus not only has increase but so has the overall season. It appears the more we play and win the more season chests we earn. I have far exceeded my season rewards with this first season, close to double my average in a season. I still have 5 more days to increase my season chests.
I am taking advantage of earning more in both focus and DEC per battle win by playing with my alpha collection. Meanwhile trying to keep battling when it favors my card collection in water and dragon. I have to say I am very happy with what I am getting so far with the new Focus rewards. Look forward to how the end of season plays out. I will plan to post on how the end of season goes.

I mostly agree with the sentiment towards the new rewards:
however R.I.P. CP renting.
CP renting was going to end soon anyways as sps airdrop is almost over.
I have been noticing that having a gold deck or alpha/beta might be the most rewarding. At least, it gives you more chests. It's just going to take some time to get used to and I might not rent out some of my gold cards anymore unless they are duplicates.

At higher league the wins are getting me more focus points so yes definitely good position for gold wing older cards.
There's now a dragon quest. That's good you can now have dragons fighting with you !
