Holding On Still

There is not one day I missed checking into Splinterland’s everyday for at least the past couple of years. Maybe when I was really really sick I would not physically be able to reach for my phone. Beyond that I have been holding as long as many of my fellow die hard fans of this game.

In recent weeks I have felt a sign of deep depression for the game. I could not play 20+ matches on a daily basis and I just could not be optimistic to track much of the latest news around the game. Yet I would still collect my daily rewards and passive income such as Dec and sps. I gradually have a decent amount of Dec to grain invested in liquidity pool and over 166k sps staked. It all continues to add and each passing day as prices for these tokens rises the greater my overall crypto net worth.

To date it appears my card collection value is turning around and have been steadily rising. Whether this is sustainable it still feels quite good considering it’s number has been trending down for many many months. This is leading me back into the game even though my original reasons for playing differed.

I guess along the way people change and I changed in terms of what I am expecting out of playing this game. Through the years I have enjoyed playing the game and I would have hated leaving just when it seems the bottom in price has come in or lose the effort I had put in through the years go to waste. Like anything one puts in their time it’s difficult to leave.

As the open market card supply continues to shrink because more players are holding on to their cards it leaves low supply and in turn increase demand. Adding in the tokens are rising in price and the rewards getting more in values with it all comes a new rush of interest to keep me going. For now I am hitting on all cylinders as I finally played through more than 20 games today. Hope to keep this streak going and continue posting again for the interest of the game. May my fellow Splinterland’s comrades play as hard as me or more. Will be seeing you all in the game.
