Financial Security Not Job Security

What I was taught in school such as many others is that we grow up learning skills in order to get a good paying job. Then work for most of our adult lives until we reach retirement age and stop to enjoy our fruits of our labors.

It has been over two decades since I graduated and having been in the workforce since graduation I can say I have finally understand what I really want in my life. I have always focused on being a better person by learning new skills related to my work. Doing all this in hopes of climbing up the corporate ladder to make more money. That has been my thinking to earning more and hopefully return sooner than my grand parents.

The reality I am truly facing is that I need more money not more work. For many years my thought process to an easier life has been to get a job and work hard to keep master the skills of the job. The work flow will then become easier with experience. Yet the reality is I should be working hard to make more money. By no means am I saying money is more important than living life. Instead I am saying I should not be focusing on my job as much as I should be on my finance.

Learn to do check and balance of my finance and learn how to invest my savings. It is more important than my job and it should be my top priority.

I end the post by wise Warren Buffett's words:

If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.

This is exactly what we all should be doing and that is why many of us in on Hive, LeoFinance and many of the Hive tribes. We have the potential of making our lives easier by making money while we sleep. In my own words, I work to make enough money so that I can invest and be able to earn passive income. I am focused on financial security, not job security.

Yes have a positive mindset and it gets easier in life. Sometimes difficult to stay positive but doing our best is all we can hope for.

I completely agree and more people need to start doing so. This is why I really like passive income sources because you can rely on them to work for you
