A Day In My Guild Brawls
With less than 9 hours to go its a mad dash for me to finish my guild battles and play daily battles. I did it all in under an hour while watching sports highlights on the side, LOL.
In this post I review my battles and strategies in this most recent guild brawl.
4W - 0L For Now
I was set in fray 3 which is silver league with all cards available for use. I like silver a lot because I tend to get enough mid level cards available for use in the oldest series, alpha/beta, and since Untamed still available via owning spell book. That leaves really Chaos and rewards which I cover decent amount of options there too. Add to that the Gladius cards I have stacked its a comfortable league for me to play. I would not say I dominate though since I never got a top 100 spot near end of season even when I was playing in silver league.
Anyways my battles were plentiful as it was up to the maximum for a fray at 9.
With that many competitors I always feel if I can just get away with half of the wins I would have done my part for my guild. As of now I have entered all my battles and currently sit at 4W and 0L. This is a good sign as I may only need one more win to achieve my goal for this brawl. Of course if I can win more than just one for the remainder of the battles I have no objections to.
Close Call
To see how the competition stack we can look at the snapshot of my last battle. It was limited really on the low mana of 13, but somehow I was able to escape with a win.
At this point in the match it appears I would easily lose since my opponent still had two decent attacking monsters with health of 3 in each. Meanwhile I was down to a meager 2 monsters and both were only 1 in health. On top of all that I really only had Ice Pixie as my attacker since chicken can not use melee from the rear.
What happened though was that my Pixie had a high enough speed that caused my opponent to continually miss attacking my Pixie. In turn I was able to knock out all the remainder of my opponent's monsters just with Pixie and that was it.
Close calls in brawl matches happen more often than people think. Sometimes its just one additional hit or miss that can make all the difference in the match. I think this is due mainly because players are set in their right guilds and compete in the right frays. What I mean by right is that they are familiar to the restrictions of card uses for that specific fray and know what cards are common to use per the rule sets and other restrictions.
All in all my guild is currently in the lead as it stands and hopefully we can come out with the win but with current stats we are only four wins ahead of our closets rival. The thing here is any more losses we incur here hurts us more since we currently have four more losses than our next opponent. It remains to be seen if the outcomes for the remainder of the battles will sway our standings. For now I am hopefully we can pull off a win and finish first in the brawl. We shall see....
Until next time thanks for reading!!!
I have plenty of other cards for rent! Just go on peakmonsters and check out the market place and if you are curious what I offer here is a link:
I really missed playing Splinterlands, sadly I have sold all my cards as I was in need of it. Now can't afford to buy it again.
Did you know you can borrow full set of cards free and split 50/50 in rewards? Check link out: https://www.nftyarcade.io/splinterlands/
