Dikè (dhikr) is a tradition of the Acehnese people who commemorate the Prophet's birthday with blessings
Assalamualaikum wr wb?
Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are fine wherever you are, and today I want to continue my story in the next post because the previous post was the day of preparation for the birthday event and this was when my husband had to deliver the food that had been prepared. We prepared it neatly and took it to the sharpening machine in the village. In the morning on Monday, because of the event, we woke up early because previously we had to do two rak'ahs of morning prayer first. After that, we immediately rushed to the kitchen and continued to prepare. Monday
I made noodles because this was also for the event. I fried a lot because the people at home would also eat later. Basically, the other work was done there so that it would be finished more quickly, because at 11 o'clock it was already taken to the sharpening for the people. guests were present there, therefore we had to finish quickly, after everything was ready we also had to serve a special dish for the event because this is very special for Muslims because it commemorates the birthday of our Prophet Muhammad SAW, and this year it fits perfectly with The Prophet's birthday is Monday 12 rabiulawal. How happy we are because we remember our prophet who had such noble morals. Hopefully we can commemorate it next year
My husband came home from the event venue to pick up various kinds of food that we had provided and took it to the sharpener to share with the guests who were present at the birthday event. After saying that I told my husband to pick me up because I wanted to come to there and would love to see the Dike children
Dikè is an Acehnese tradition which is poetry, Dikè can be interpreted as remembrance. This is the preamble to the month of Mawlid, dikè is always held in villages in Aceh. Dikè comes from the word dhikr in Arabic. Dikè is a type of sound art that is sung by children. One diké group usually numbers 30 to 50 boys. They are led by four to six adults as sheikhs. The sheikh dikè must be able to generate various radats (rhythms) in singing the dikè poems. The poems in the dikè contain praise to Allah, as well as prayers so that the commemoration of the Prophet's birthday will be blessed. Apart from that, it also contains the history of the struggle of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in spreading the religion of Islam. As a variation, the poetry of the dikè also includes stories with the theme of education and metaphors that are useful for life. I was so happy to see the dike
After the event was over I went home and my children asked for snacks there and also ice cream and I bought it for them and I went home to my in-laws' house and sat down to rest for a while and laughed with the children, after that I cleaned up because it was already afternoon and I wanted to go home to our own house, I brought home several kinds of dishes, it was like this for our siblings, and I asked permission to say goodbye to my in-laws and we went home safely
