Hello Hivers 💕💘,

The cocoyam specie is also a tuber crop which is always edible whenever it reaches its maturity stage. And for every giving tuber crop it must always follow the due procedures so that your outputs will always be more interesting and huge. There are some factors that lead to a very good production when you are going for the tuber crop. This factors always go hand in hand for the good benefit after all. It may look extremely simple when you are giving a description of how to kick off. This is why I always emphasize on getting your own information ready so that it will bring a lot of increase in production when you follow the step-by-step method. Getting your information ready you may be inform of checking the internet for videos or articles that are related to what you are planning to farm. So this is why I always go in step by step method and also to put more effort in getting more people into the awareness of Agriculture.

We may have different species of a cocoyam and with the research I made I discovered that practically we have two types of cocoa yam. The white cocoyam and also the Brown cocoyam or the red species. So it depends on which one you want to go for and the one that it will suit your farm or garden.

You can practice agriculture in any way and also in every way. Wherever you are you can begin to do your own research concerning your own soil, your own crop, likewise your own weather condition. These are some of what increases production and also decrease it drastically. I took some pictures of how you can get started into the planting of the cocoa yam as when as coco Ghana. They are all a tuber crop that must undergo planting in the soil before it can germinate and can be later be harvested within 6 to 8 months of planting.

From a very near distance you will be able to identify the differences between the cocoa yam and also they cocoa Ghana species. They look alike but when you look closely you will see the differences even on it leaves.

  • You need to cut the cocoa yam or coco Ghana into two halves so that you can plant both sides equal. It is advisable this way. Although you can plant the whole tuber once. But with a lot of researches I made, it is the best method when you cut them into smaller pieces before you plant them into the soil.

This was when I planted it into the soil. You need to follow this step so that you will equally see the results when it grow up.

This was when I finally covered the already planted cocoayam dissected tuber and the coco Ghana dissected tuber. You need to place them into the soil very well so that they will have a very good contact with the soil. When you do this you will equally say a very good result then 7 to 14 days it starts to grow up a new life.

The fact that you need to conduct a lot of test or analysis on the soil you plan to cultivate this crop. The reason why I said it is because the crop needs a very good fertile soil so that the germination will be rapid.
