Attack From The Leaf Beetle 🐞🪲🐞 To Destroy The Green Vegetable Farm Production Gradually. One Downside Of The Raining Season 🌧️🌧️ With Constant Rainfall Pattern.

Agriculture is one of the quickest way to manifest your dream and also to come through only if you can go with the rules guiding them. For every crop you cultivate you must always follow the rules and regulation guiding it no matter how long you have been in the farming system, you must gather up more strength, more knowledge to be able to face any kind of challenges. There will always be challenges ahead of you for any kind of agricultural units you find yourself. We were growing up we were also exposed to different type of agricultural unit which since then I already concluded that one way or the other I will be a typical farmer who will always serve as a guide for other people to grow up and also to be ready to train my children they agricultural way of life. Not just to train them alone but also to practice what I am teaching them even when they are grown-ups.
There are different types of teaching and learning in agriculture. There is one that involves practical aspect and this one is absolutely advance in knowledge, on this part of Agriculture so many people do not love to dwell at all. I have met so many people and when we discussed extensively and it was time for practical application they tends to forgo the aspect all because it involves getting into the woods or into the agricultural Farmland to practicalize what we have learned on book. Although for several reasons I comprehend but on the other hand I would like to also discuss extensively that it is not what you know theoretically that makes you a very good farmer but what you can handle on the agricultural Farmland makes you a better farmer than your neighbor or your colleagues. So even when you plant crops you must always face a lot of challenges along the line. Like I always say that this challenges may be much such that it will try as much as possible to shape you for the next planting season no matter the loss or the gain. When I planted the green vegetables in a mixed cropping system I found out that there were a lot of insect eating them on after the other making this to spread out on both African spinach green vegetables, the water leaf vegetable, part of the eggplant, and also the appetizer to the stomach vegetable. Likewise the Jute vegetable species. What really happened was that because they are together they can easily be affected by pest and diseases. Is one of the disadvantages of mixed cropping system. But the advantages is absolutely numerous. You can see in the pictures I took that they were a lot of holes on the green vegetables leaves.
- This holes on the green vegetable leaves sometimes lead to poor growth and development. If the care is not taken you may lose a lot of fresh leaves and also a very good vegetable stands with the produce of other planted crops been affected by the pest and diseases.
You can see that on the leaves, I have a lot of holes that was being made by the beetle 🐞🐞🪲🪲🐞 insects and so many flying insect causing a lot of injuries to the leaves. There was one time I meant a very big beetle that really ate a lot of leave space leaving it damage and that was the end of the whole plant. And now at the moment I am experiencing it again.
One thing for sure that I observe and I know is that during the rainy season we have more of this type of challenges that battle different types of Farm. If you are the yam 🥔🥔 farmer type you must also face different challenges, likewise the Maize 🌽🌽 Farmer. So you must be ready to face the challenge squally and also overcome it.
I saw a question on the discord channel and extensively we discussed on it as well how to really battle the challenges during the rainy season. It's a continuous exercise if I must say because of the constant rainfall that occur day to day interval.
- For the African spinach I did something and it was very simple. In as much as I am still interested in the leaves to form newly this was what I did. By intentionally cut off the first three leaf portion of the African spinach away. This simply means that when the new leave start to grow up it will be fresh and healthy and uncontaminated.
That was what I did here and I was pointing at it. This is also a method to eradicate the Beetle and application of Ash can also be done or the use of Neem to make a juice and spray it on the leaves.
