So many green vegetables our readily available here in Nigeria depending on which region you go or visit. When you talk about the west Africa or let's come to Nigeria as a country we have several green vegetables that can be consume separately with different type of food ingredients that will make it taste more palatable and delicious. We name them according to the names of the leaf formation ,the taste and also tribes and languages. In Yoruba language we have the green vegetables called The Sokoyokoto by some people, Efo Soko by some people, Efo Tete,Eruro, Efo Ugwu, Efo Gure and several names by the Yoruba tribe and languages. When you talk off some other tribes they also have their ways of calling the green vegetables in their own language. The method of preparation is also so much different from one another. But today I'm talking about the green vegetable called the African spinach itself.

• The African spinach is widely known throughout the world this collaborate or embrace the name worldwide. When you go to the United States of America you see them call it spinach. Likewise if you go to United Kingdom you hear them call it spinach, even when you go to the Europe like the Spain they call it spinach as well. So it is widely acceptable by several people throughout the world. The planting of the spinach is mainly by seed. I took some pictures of the spinach while I was on the Farm doing what is known as the leave separation. This leaf separation is mainly for those leaves that are affected in one way or the other by the lava or insects.

• Not all African spinach can grow up to this huge height or size, but this one is so because I already mix the Organic manure with the soil before planting so it can grow naturally on its own and also it can bring out more leaves as big as possible in as much as they are are more nutrients readily available in the soil.

• This are the affected part of the African spinach I was talking about. I took my time to remove all these one after the other and other to secure they all plants as a green vegetable. While I was away for couple of weeks there was a lot of damages that were done to Maize farm 🌽🌽 , green vegetable farm 🌿🌱☘️🍀 , Pepper 🫑🌶️🫑 the okra.
