Tenerife - a short holiday guide [ENG/PL]

Active holiday in Tenerife - my experiences

My wife and I spent 7 days in Tenerife as follows:
beautiful views>beaches and coast>sightseeing
We always travel actively, I take a lot of photos, so I appreciate the visual aspect :)

In October we hit a pan of 30-35 degrees, so I assume that many places could not be appreciated because of this heat.

Car - Fiat 500 (2 people) from Cicar. Great company, no deposit, credit card or other hidden fees. The return took 3 minutes and no one even looked at the car. Communicative English - I recommend it

Accommodation (2 different)

• a village above Los Gigantes - a nice base for trips to the entire west of the island
  -the town of Bajamar to explore the north, center and west - here

In my opinion, next time I would look for something more in the center or near La Laguna, each time it took us about 15 minutes to get higher from the sea level, but it's rather a minor thing.

Comments:

• in Tenerife and on the mainland, English is poor in many places
  -fuel 1.3-1.4 euro/L (average fuel consumption was 5.7 liters after driving approx. 1000 km)
  -on the island they eat mojo sauces with everything :)
  -prices do not differ from those on the continent and in other tourist countries

Verified attractions from the west clockwise (names from Google Maps):
-View of Los Gigantes (google: Los Gigantes view point) - accessible by car, nice view of the sunset - I highly recommend it
-Trekking around the Koniecznero volcano - nice contrast of green and black of the volcano, flat and pleasant, nice landscape - I recommend it
-Masca village - getting there by car is really demanding, but there is nothing interesting in the village - I recommend it as an interesting thing to tick off, yes, it's boring.
-El agujero, trekking from Tamaimo through Cruz de Los Misionaros - monotonous for me, with an average view at the end - I do not recommend it
-Buenivista del Norte, Playa del Fraile and the surrounding area - we drove up to the landscape, high and spectacular waves and nothing else, very close to buildings - I do not recommend
-El Rayo Buenavista Del Norte and the surrounding area - interesting landscape, high waves and cool rocks - I recommend it
-Garachico, a town - I'm passing through ok, but I wouldn't go there specifically
-Beach Bollullo - black and clean beach a bit out of the way, there were not many people, parking 5e, or a bit higher - I recommend
-Playa De Rojas, Rojas and the surrounding area - nice rocks, descent to the water using stones or swimming pools, perfect place for a sunset, hardcore descent :) I highly recommend it
-Mirador in Tacoronte (I don't remember the detailed name) - great place for the sunset, view from the steps without going down to the beach - I recommend it
-Playa de la Arena (there is a large public swimming pool next to it) - black beach, but with gravel and stones, not sand, it was very uncomfortable to walk on, a lot of people on Friday - I do not recommend it
-Bajamar, beach - city beach, lots of locals, nothing charming about it - I don't recommend it
-Mirador Punta Del Hidalgo - nice view but it was quite cloudy, so I leave it neutral
-Chinamada trekking - it's best to go straight to the viewpoint next to Roque Dos Hermanos, the rest is monotonous - I recommend it
-Taborno trekking to the north - I highly recommend it
-Playa de Benijo - the absolute TOP of Tenerife, both for swimming and for a walk, black beach with a beautiful rocky view - I highly recommend it
-El Semáforo de Igueste - monotonous and boring - I do not recommend it
-Playa de Igueste - a tragedy, I don't recommend it
-Playa de Las Gaviotas - a small black beach off the beaten track, beware of nudists :) - I recommend it
-Playa de Las Teresitas - as a viewing point above, it's an interesting view, it's noisy for swimming, there are a lot of sandhills, probably ok for families, not so much for me, very large parking lot, sand brought from the Sahara
-Santa Cruz De Tenerife - we visited the market square and the "old town", nothing interesting, but I don't like sightseeing :)
-Teide- I climbed at night from Montana Blanca. In my opinion, most of the descriptions are exaggerated and exaggerated. Entry for about 4 hours at a leisurely pace, a trail similar to our Western Tatras. No exposure, but the altitude can take its toll. No matter how you look at it, it's also 1.5k elevation gain in your legs. At night, a GPS app will be useful, because in several places near Altavista it is easy to lose the path on bends, and the trail is very visible, but it is difficult to go there alone. At the top the temperature was around 0 (at the bottom of the climb it was around 15) and the wind was gusty. A landscape like from Mars. I recommend it as an adventure! Beware of altitude sickness, stock up on water and monitor your well-being.
-Teide- Pico Viejo - I highly recommend it, the difficulty is the same as the approach to Teide, we go down to La Ruleta Vista Point/ Roques de García
-Teide and surroundings - I somehow missed this area when planning my stay and it was probably the biggest surprise. The landscape is like from another planet, for me it's a great WOW effect - I highly recommend checking out the surrounding viewpoints. It's best to go there in the morning - easy availability of parking lots and smaller crowds, from about 10 a.m. it's a disaster :)
-Roques de García - a bit like "Pilgrims" in the Karkonosze Mountains, only 5x larger - I highly recommend it

Aktywny urlop na Teneryfie- moje doświadczenia

Spędziliśmy z żoną na Teneryfie 7 dni według schematu:
piękne widoki>plaże i wybrzeże>zwiedzanie
Zawsze podróżujemy aktywnie, ja robię dużo zdjęć, więc doceniam aspekt wizualny 🙂

Trafiliśmy w październiku patelnię po 30-35 stopni, więc zakładam, że wielu miejsc nie dało się docenić przez ten upał.

Samochód- Fiat 500 (2 osoby) z Cicar. Super firma, bez depozytu, karty kredytowej i innych ukrytych opłat. Zwrot trwał 3 minuty i nikt nawet auta nie oglądał. Komunikatywny angielski- polecam

Noclegi (2 różne)
-wioseczka nad Los Gigantes- fajna baza wypadowa na cały zachód wyspy
-miejscowość Bajamar do eksploracji północy, centrum i zachodu- tu

Według mnie następnym razem bym szukał czegoś bardziej w centrum lub przy La Laguna, u nas za każdym razem ok. 15 minut trwało aż podjedziemy wyżej z poziomu morza, ale to raczej drobnostka

Uwagi:
-na Teneryfie jak i na kontynencie w wielu miejscach kuleje angielski
-paliwo 1,3-1,4 euro/L (mi wyszło średnie spalanie 5,7l przy przejechanych ok. 1000 km)
-na wyspie do wszystkiego jedzą sosy mojo 🙂
-ceny nie odbiegają od tych na kontynencie i w innych turystycznych krajach

Sprawdzone atrakcje od zachodu zgodnie z ruchem wskazówek zegara (nazwy z map google):
-Widoczek na Los Gigantes (google: Los Gigantes view point)- dojazd autem, fajny widok na zachód słońca- bardzo polecam
-Trekking dookoła wulkanu Chinyero- fajny kontrast zieleni i czerni wulkanu, płasko i przyjemnie, fajny krajobraz- polecam
-Wioska Masca- dojazd autem faktycznie wymagający, ale w wiosce nie ma nic ciekawego- polecam jako ciekawostkę do odhaczenia, tak to nuda
-El agujero, trekking od Tamaimo przez Cruz de Los Misionaros- jak dla mnie monotonnie, z przeciętnym widokiem na końcu- nie polecam
-Buenivista del Norte, Playa del Fraile i okolice- podjechaliśmy krajobrazowo, wysokie i widowiskowe fale i nic poza tym, bardzo blisko zabudowa- nie polecam
-El Rayo Buenavista Del Norte i okolica- ciekawy krajobrazowo teren, wysokie fale i fajne skałki- polecam
-Garachico miasteczko- przejazdem ok, ale specjalnie bym tam nie pojechał
-Beach Bollullo- czarna i czysta plaża trochę na uboczu, nie było dużo ludzi, parking 5e, lub kombinowanie trochę powyżej- polecam
-Playa De Rojas, Rojas i okolica- fajne skałki, zejście do wody po kamieniach lub do baseników, idealne miejsce na zachód słońca, hardkorowy zjazd 🙂 bardzo polecam
-Mirador w Tacoronte (nie pamiętam nazwy szczegółówej)- super miejsce na zachód słońca, widok ze schodków bez zejścia do plaży- polecam
-Playa de la Arena (obok jest duży basen publiczny)- czarna plaża, ale ze żwirem i kamieniami, a nie piaskiem, bardzo niewygodnie się po tym chodziło, w piątek dużo ludzi- nie polecam
-Bajamar, plaża- plaża miejska, dużo miejscowych, nic w tym urokliwego- nie polecam
-Mirador Punta Del Hidalgo- widok fajny ale my trafiliśmy spore zachmurzenie, więc zostawiam neutralnie
-Chinamada trekking- najlepiej udać się od razu na punkt widokowy obok Roque Dos Hermanos, reszt monotonna- polecam
-Taborno trekking na północ- bardzo polecam
-Playa de Benijo- absolutny TOP Teneryfy, zarówno do kąpieli jak i na spacer, czarna plaża z pięknym skalistym widokiem- bardzo polecam
-El Semáforo de Igueste- monotonnie i nudno- nie polecam
-Playa de Igueste- tragedia jakaś, bardzo nie polecam
-Playa de Las Gaviotas- mała czarna plaża na uboczu, uwaga na nudystów :)- polecam
-Playa de Las Teresitas- jako punkt widokowy powyżej to ciekawy widok, do kąpieli to głośno, sporo gunwiaków, dla rodzin pewnie ok, dla mnie nie bardzo, baaardzo duży parking, piasek dowieziony z Sahary
-Santa Cruz De Tenerife- odwiedziliśmy ryneczek i “stare miasto”, nic ciekawego, ale ja nie lubię zwiedzać 🙂
-Teide- wchodziłem w nocy od Montana Blanca. W mojej opinii większość opisów jest przesadzona i przerysowana. Wejście na ok. 4h spokojnym tempem, szlak podobny do naszych Tatr Zachodnich. Brak ekspozycji, ale wysokość może zrobić swoje. Jakby nie patrzeć to też 1,5k przewyższenia w nogach. W nocy przyda się jakaś apka z GPS, ponieważ pod Altavista w kilku miejscach łatwo zgubić ścieżkę na zakosach, poza tym szlak bardzo dobrze widoczny, z resztą ciężko podchodzić tam w samotności. Na górze trafiłem temperaturę ok. 0 (na dole podejścia ok. 15) i porywisty wiatr. Krajobraz jak z Marsa. Polecam jako przygodę! Uważajcie na chorobę wysokościową, konieczny zapas wody i obserwacja samopoczucia.
-Teide- Pico Viejo- bardzo polecam, trudność nie odbiega od podejścia na Teide, schodzimy do La Ruleta Vista Point/ Roques de García
-Teide i okolice- jakoś pominąłem ten obszar przy planowaniu pobytu i było to chyba największe zaskoczenie. Krajobraz jak z innej planety, jak dla mnie jeden wielki efekt WOW- bardzo polecam sprawdzić okoliczne punkty widokowe. Najlepiej wybrać się tam z samego rana- łatwa dostępność parkingów oraz mniejsze tłumy ludzi, od ok 10 masakra 🙂
-Roques de García- trochę jak "Pielgrzymy" w Karkonoszach tylko 5x większe- bardzo polecam
