Promises on the Bidet - Charly Garcia
The 57th song on my Spotify list of the most listened to songs by me in the last year is Promesas sobre el Bidet by Charly Garcia. I heard it for the first time in my childhood, my mother used to listen to a lot of national rock of her time, among them many songs by the artist Charly Garcia. Maybe at that time it didn't call my attention, until a few years ago I started listening to all his songs, hits like Promesas Sobre el Bidet, Los Dinosaurios, Ojos de Videotape, Demoliendo Hoteles, No Bombardeen Buenos Aires, also his albums released when he was part of Sui Generis and Seru Giran, one of the most successful bands in Argentina. Charly Garcia for me, is undoubtedly the greatest exponent of Latin American music.
“Promesas sobre el Bidet” is one of Charly García's most emblematic songs. This song is part of his debut solo album, “Piano Bar”, released in 1984. The album includes several songs that have become classics of Argentine rock, such as: “Demoliendo Hoteles”, “Cerca de la Revolución”, “Piano Bar”, “Promesas sobre el Bidet”, “Raros peinados nuevos”...”

La canción número 57 de mi lista de Spotify de las canciones más escuchadas por mi en el ultimo año es Promesas sobre el Bidet de Charly Garcia. La escuché por primera vez en mi infancia, mi madre solia escuchar mucho rock nacional de su época, entre ellas muchas canciones del artista Charly Garcia. Quizá en ese momento no me llamaba mucho la atención, hasta que hace unos años me puse a escuchar todas sus canciones, éxitos como Promesas Sobre el Bidet, Los Dinosaurios, Ojos de Videotape, Demoliendo Hoteles, No Bombardeen Buenos Aires, también sus discos sacados cuando conformaba Sui Generis y Seru Giran, una de las bandas más exitosas de toda la Argentina. Charly Garcia para mi, es sin ninguna duda el máximo exponente de la música en latinoamerica.
