Tangkorak spiders are a type of spider belonging to the Theridiidae family. The Latin name is Latrodectus, and there are several species in this genus, for example Latrodectus hasselti (red horn spider).

The tangkorak spider is known for its small size and the red or orange spots on its tangkorak-shaped abdomen. They also have red rings on the anterior legs and female spiders usually have larger bodies than males.

Tangkorak spiders are famous for their strong venom. This poison is a neurotoxin that can cause various symptoms in humans if bitten, including severe pain, Hive friends.
