In a small city lived a spirited young lady named Mikka. Renowned for her industrious nature and her unyielding pursuit of independence, she managed a mini grocery store that supplied all essentials to the neighborhood. Her story was heard throughout the city, motivating young women who aspired to be independent while keeping their hearts open to true love. Mikka, who cherished her singleness, dreamed of a love that would complement her independence.

Then enters John to the small city. A man whose life is in the city is unknown, his aura of affluence blinded anyone to question him or his hometown, John's mysterious wealth intrigued confusion as all the ladies wanted to be noticed by him but his eyes were fixed solely on Mikka after hearing so much about her hard work. Her charming smile, and ability to stand on her own ignited a longing in him that he couldn't ignore.

Their paths crossed when John, intentionally, strolled into Mikka's shop to make a purchase. It was the spark that ignited their connection. He admired her from a distance, while she felt an unfamiliar flutter in her heart. Love's sweetness, something she had pondered in her solitude, was beginning to happen in reality.

Their affection shone as they surfed the waters of romance. Everyone admired the two lovebirds together; Mikka's self-assuredness and John's charm seemed they were destined for each other. He proposed that she joins him to his hometown to meet his family. Upon reaching the new city, Mikka found herself in what looked like a hotel.

"This doesn't look like a family house," Mikka said.

"Yes, babe, this is one of my hotels. Let's have fun here, then we can go meet my parents."

Mikka was comfortable with John but refused to compromise her hard earned money on expenses even after countless pursued by John for her to foot the bills. Over time, John tried and it failed, he needed to act fast as the number of days to renew the hotel payment was fast approaching , knowing fully well he was resting under the umbrella of fake life. He left her in the hotel room and that was the last sight of John.

She left the hotel room and began in search of John. Made all the inquiries she could make and at last she got a positive response from the cleaner who told her she saw when John left the hotel.

Getting to the room, she found out her phone was no more, her purse that contained all her vital belongings had been taken away by John.

The only way to get to her city was to go to the bank and make a withdrawal and get a new ATM card. Getting to the bank, her account was empty, funds transferred to an unknown account with no BVN. Mikka realized she had been duped left her stranded as it dawned on her that she had encountered a fraudster as boyfriend.

She regretted using finger print authorization as the only security method to unlocking her phone. she pick her pieced together and persevered with renewed determination. She managed to sought money to return to her city.
