Diy on my first outfit this year I made for me and my sister ( simple and classic dress )
Hello creative community,
Good evening dear hiver, how did our day goes happy new month, happy new year to you all , I hope we enjoy the new year celebration , I'm waiting for my new year gift from my friends ♥️ on hive 😄😄🤗.
Today I will like to share my first handwork of this year 2024 , I thought of wearing new cloth to church on 1st since I didn't wore new cloth on Christmas day so I bought this kampala for me and my junior sister so we rock it to church on Monday and it look simple and classic on us 🤩🤩🤩 .
Cutting and sewing step
Firstly I folded my material into four then I measure the length to be 40" then the shoulder to sleeve length is 20" after that I measure the burst to be 15" and the hip is 17" + ease allowance since the gown is not fitted gown .
After cutting the bodice out I open the material up and draft out the neck design and the back neck design is high back, I cut out the satin material to design the neck and the edge of the sleeve ,after that I took the material to my sewing machine and joined them together .
Sewing step
After joining the bodices together I fixed the side pocket then I iron it and add a little stone to the front neck and it look beautiful and neat .
Finishing
I'm so happy that I'm life to celebrate the new year with my family this year and took a group picture together and I enjoy the celebration 🤗🤗🤗.
I hope you all enjoy the new year celebration with your families too?
