DIY on how I made this sexy straight gown with long sleeve

(Edited)

Good day creative friends
How are you doing and how is our families happy mid- week to you all I hope we are enjoying our self and our Muslim friends preparing for their sallah we shall all live to celebrate more years .

Today I will love to share with you all how I made this beautifull straight gown with long sleeve for my sister-in-law .

Material used

3 yards of Ankara
1 trouser yard of lace material
Thread
Zip

I folded the Ankara into four and I measured 16” for the half length then I measured 4” from the center up wards to get the breast curve then I measured 8” Length for the neckline and 3” width after that i cut out the lining for each piece then cut the back bodices .

This gown is a very common style but the only unique part of the styles is the neckline where I have to cut a deep v neckline at the front then I cover it up with the lace and it look beautiful and different.

After cutting the half length I measured the sket part to be 42 “ length she is tall then 2” folding allowance and the back sket i folded 2” for zipper allowance and the gown is ready to join.

Sewing step

The gown was neatly sew and iron and it looks so good and beautiful on her, it was one of her birthday dress .

Thanks for visiting my blog and reading my post i will appreciate your lovely comment and support 😍

That one lovely fabric you got there. I have been hoping to stumble on them. You did a good job with the outfits and it fits her well.
