Creating simple and free gown for my mummy to wear.
Hello creative hiver,
Good morning creative community and lovely friends how was our night rest I hope we slept well and how was our weekend I'm happy to be alive today to share this beautiful gown I made for my mum.
Today I will like to share how I made this simple free gown for my mum she wore it for a wedding on Saturday then wore it to church on Sunday because she love the styles.
Material use:
3yards of Ankara fabrics
1 yard of net material
Stone
Thread
Cutting and sewing step
The gown is a kimono gown and it very simple to make I fold the fabrics into 4 then I measure the shoulder with the sleeve length together to be 20" then I measure the neck to be 3and half inches width and 6" length , after that I input the body measurements, the burst is 11" + allowance and the hip is 12" + allowance then the length of the gown is 55 " but I measure 45" for the Ankara then 10" for the net material .
After cutting the main bodice I cut the 10" net to joined to the length of the gown then I cut out the neck with the material that I will use to turn the neck .
Sewing step
I turn the neck with the net then also the sleeve after that I joined the net at the down part of the gown then joined the both side together and I iron it I use hand needle to attach the bead and I stone the gown and it came out beautiful and unique .
Final look
She wore it to church and the gown was looking good and her .
