I bring you greetings with warm welcome to ML-BLOG. Each day comes with its own inspiration and as a writer, it is my duty to pen down inspirations as they come. If you're just knowing of ML-Blog, I encourage you to stay tuned to it and always remember to leave your support in the comment section or any other way convinent for you. All my life, I have always heard people, especially security personnels say something. Never for once have I read a meaning to it, but just this morning, I had a clearer meaning to what that statement is.

I believe you too whether in real situations or movie has seen people get arrested, and on the process, the statement will surface "You have the right to remain silent because anything you say can be and will be used against you in the court of law". Funny, isn't it? Just when you thought speech was free, you're suddenly hit with caution in doing it.

This statement "the right to remain silent" is offered to you when people or law enforcers feels you are in deep mess and wants to prevent further mess up. I know many of us probably saw it as an anthem of law enforcers but there's an important meaning to it. However, having the right to remain silent doesn't necessarily mean you should remain silent but calls for caution in the next thing you planned on saying.

How Important is this Statement?

Of course, you wouldn't know until you find yourself in a mess situation. Now, the problem is, when you're in such a mess situation, you don't feel like being quiet rather you become more expressive because you feel the need to explain yourself. Unfortunately, most times, this expressive feeling ends you up in deeper mess. There's an opposite relationship between you and the person coming after you.

While you have an adrenaline rush of expressiveness, your attacker is already having a biased mindset over whatever they feels that you've done. At this point, the silent becomes your best options else even your show of love will be translated into hate. Explaining oneself is great but explaining the cause of fire when the fire is yet to be put out can ignite more fire. At least, this I have learnt from experience.

Should I always go with the silent option?

When the word "always" is attached to this, it might look stupid. Some situations requires an immediate response but be cautious not to say more than required. However, when you do not feel emotional readiness to speak, just don't speak. Emotions can be tricky and can cloud your judgements. Some situations calls you to speak but restrict this to only when spoken to. When you are clear of emotion, you can now speak probably with the help of a guardian.

I will probably say this to you, whenever you gets the right to remain silent offer, take it. No matter how it pains not to explain yourself, some people can't understand or are not willing to understand you at that point. So, it's best you keep your explanation to yourself and speak only when everyone is calm. This is the relationship between fire & water and the reason while water always wins against fire.

Someone recently said something to me. While I was facing an ugly situation and felt the need to express myself, he called me and said "Martin, Be Like Water and Flow out Easily". Another person also said this "when you find yourself in a hole you wish to get out from, best option is to stop digging". I'm extending these statements to you.

Finally, I appreciate you all for always reading my blog and hope to see you back asap, until then, stay tuned to ML-BLOG.
