The Snow Is Finally Gone From Our Yard But ...

The last of the snow melted last night.

I went to the sports center on Wednesday morning because I was curious to see if the skiing trail was still being used. It seemed possible because about 30 cm of compacted snow from storage had been brought to it at the beginning of the season last November.

As you can see, there's a lot of snow.

I was surprised to see the skiers here. On April 19 when the daily maximum was around 15 C.

I asked the skiers whether the trail was soft anywhere. One said not really, except in a few isolated places. Really surprising.
