Arialkha river & the eye soothing sunset which heals the mental restlessness

As many times as I have been severely broken in life, I have sought the proximity of the river. A few rivers bear witness to all my lost days. My village home in Barishal is in a place that can be compared to an island. I have to cross Arialkha river to go to my village. I was a little mentally ill for several days. At this moment I did not have the strength to suppress the strong desire to watch the sunset from the middle of the river.

I was traveling by boat throughout the river since afternoon to sunset to see the different different scenarios.

My traveling companion was Abbu (my father) , my father had never taken a picture of me before, this photo was taken by Abbu with his clumsy hand.

I went on a trip to Arialkha river to see the last sunset. When I traveled in the river in a trawler, there was no current. There were many questions inside my mind, waves of anxiety, but it was calm at once. A light breeze was blowing which cooled the body at once and I was sitting on an engine driven boat in the middle of Shanti River and watching the sunset. Looking at this beautiful softness I can pass my lifetime.

Arial Kha is a major tributary of the Padma. ArialKha is a river in Faridpur, Madaripur and Barisal districts. The length of the river is 155 km, average width is 300 meters and the nature of the river is spiral.

If you take a bus from Dhaka to Barisal to Thengamara and take an auto rickshaw to Sahebrampur, you can see Arialkha river. Engine driven boats or trawlers are often found at Sahebrampur ghat
