Step by step bread pudding recipe. / Receta paso a paso de budín de pan.
Hello everyone and good start to the week!! Today I come to bring you the recipe for a dessert that I love and that is super easy to make.
This is the bread pudding.
Many of you will already know it! On the other hand, who does not know it has to know that it is a very old sweet that was born to take advantage of the remains of old bread.
Now in a few steps I will explain how to do it.
What we are going to need are the following ingredients.
Ingredients for 1 large pudding or 2 small puddings:
1,200 kg of old breadcrumbs.
12 eggs.
2 liters of milk.
700 grams of sugar for the pudding.
400 grams of sugar for the caramel.
Ingredientes para 1 budín grande o 2 budines chicos:
1,200 kg de miga de pan viejo.
12 huevos.
2 litros de leche.
700 gramos de azúcar para el budín.
400 gramos de azúcar para el caramelo.
The first thing we are going to do is cut the bread into small pieces. I use old bread to give it a use, but if they only have fresh bread, it's fine anyway. The important thing is that it does not have the outer shell of the bread.
Once the bread is all cut, we put it in a bowl and add the sugar.
Immediately we wet everything with the 2 liters of milk and the eggs. Mix very well with a fork.
We can let the mixture rest for a few hours if necessary, especially if the bread is very hard and dry.
Meanwhile we are making the caramel. In a pan, put the sugar with a splash of water and cook over medium heat until the caramel is ready, being careful not to burn it.
Once we have the caramel ready, we are going to put it in the bottom of the tray or pudding container that we will use. Once the caramel cools and solidifies, we will arrive the pudding pan with the bread mixture.
To bake, we will put the tray or pudding inside a larger one that contains a little water.
We cook our bread pudding in a bain-marie at 180° for at least 1 hour. Once cooked, remove it from the oven.
Let it cool completely and take it to the refrigerator for a few hours.
At this point, our exquisite bread pudding is ready to be served.
And that's all! Now they have the recipe for an easy and quite cheap dessert! A big hug, bye!
