When I was a child I always observed my mother with this life practice and I truly say it from the bottom of my heart, I never understood her, she has always had a smile on her face and the willingness to serve those in need without expecting anything in return.

      At that moment, as a result of my immaturity, it seemed exasperating to me that my mother was always willing to help others. Of course, I was too young to understand the reasoning that led her to act like that in such a detached way. I questioned her and asked her why she did it.       Those words from my mother gave meaning to all her actions that I observed throughout my life and for me that idea was sealed in my memory, because I understood the importance of serving those who need since it is in the moment of true need that people come for help, from then on I understood the reason for their actions and respected their noble work, I am always happy to bring the harvest fruits of our sowing to my parents' house in large quantities, because deep down I know that my mother The more she has, the more she gives to others, without them asking for her help.       My mother for me is an encyclopedia of teachings with her example, throughout my 44 years I have been able to have the joy of learning from her and my father even in my moments of rebellion, I recently told my children of 11 and 8 years old, if I had paid more attention to my parents' advice I would have surely made fewer mistakes, they asked me why dad?       Saben de verdad no entiendo a quienes no practican noblemente el arte de servir al prójimo y lo digo porque considero que cuando brindas tu mano amiga al que te rodea sin esperar nada a cambio la vida se vuelve más simple, solo por la satisfacción de ser útil a quien lo necesite, sé que hay un sin fin de opiniones encontradas al respecto y yo respeto todos los puntos de vista, a mí me tocó aprenderlo de la manera más difícil, Cuando era un niño siempre observaba a mi madre con esta práctica de vida y de verdad lo digo desde el fondo de mi corazón nunca la entendí, ella siempre ha tenido una sonrisa en su rostro y la disposición de servir al necesitado sin esperar nada a cambio.

      En aquel momento producto de mi inmadurez me parecía exasperante que mi madre siempre estuviera dispuesta para ayudar a otros, claro era muy niño para entender el razonamiento que la llevaba a actuar así de esa manera tan desprendida, yo la interpelaba y le preguntaba que porque lo hacía y ella siempre me contestaba con la frase; "has el bien sin mirar a quien..."

      Al pasar de los años siendo un joven le pregunte; ¿ Mamá porque si muchas personas han actuado de mala manera contra usted sin razón, aún continua ayudándolos cuando necesitan? ella me dio una respuesta que marco mi vida; sus palabras fueron; … "hijo sabes cuantas veces esa persona tuvo que pensar y repensar el hecho de venir a mi casa a pedirme algo que necesitaba sabiendo cómo ha actuado conmigo, imagínate cuantas veces en el trayecto del camino de su casa a la nuestra no pensó en regresarse y no venir donde estoy yo a solicitar lo que verdaderamente está necesitando, te aseguro que es mucho más difícil para esa persona acudir a mí, de lo que resulta para mi brindarle de corazón cualquier cosa que necesite si esta en mis manos..."

      Aquellas palabras de mi madre le dieron sentido a todas sus acciones que observe a lo largo de mi vida y para mi quedo sellada esa idea en mi memoria, pues entendí la importancia de servir al que necesita ya que es en el momento de verdadera necesidad que las personas acuden por ayuda, de allí en adelante entendí el porqué de sus acciones y respete su noble labor, siempre me alegra llevar a casa de mis padres las frutas de cosecha de nuestra siembra en grandes cantidades, porque en el fondo sé que mi madre mientras más tenga más da a los demás, sin que estos le soliciten su ayuda, ella le complace dividir lo que tiene y darle a cada quien una porción.

      Mi madre para mi es una enciclopedia de enseñanzas con su ejemplo, a lo largo de mis 44 años he podido tener la dicha de aprender de ella y de mi padre aún en mis momentos de rebeldía, hace poco le comentaba a mis hijos de 11 y 8 años, que si yo le hubiese hecho más caso a los consejos de mis padres hubiese de seguro cometido menos errores, ellos me preguntaron ¿porque papa? yo les explique que uno cuando está creciendo piensa que sus padres son algo estrictos y uno no entiende que todo es por nuestro bien, porque nos cuidan y nos aman con todo su corazón, por eso es muy importante escuchar y obedecerles, todo tiene un propósito en la vida.

      Hoy en día gracias a Dios mis padres aún están vivos y mi madre siempre mantiene su práctica de vida, siempre esta presta a dar ayuda al necesitado, hoy más que nunca su pensamiento sigue vigente, continua enseñandoselo a sus nietos y predicando a todos que hacer el bien siempre será una bendición tanto para el que da como para quien recibe. hoy me tomo este momento para compartir con ustedes esta reflexión y rendirle un homenaje en vida a mis viejitos por todo su amor, sacrificios y entrega incondicional, LOS AMO GRADEMENTE;"MARY Y BETO"
