TUTORIAL: Libreta Personalizada Con Foami // Personalized Notebook With Foami
No tener ni idea de por dónde empezar un trabajo escolar también forma parte de ser mamá 🥹😁...
Cuando estudiaba en el Liceo, mis trabajos favoritos eran aquellos que incluían una manualidad o trabajo creativo... Sin embargo ya han pasado algunas décadas de eso y pese a que sigo siendo creativa en muchos sentidos, en los trabajos escolares uno pierde un poco las habilidades jejeje.
Mi hija tiene que entregar un glosario como parte de trabajo final antes del salir de vacaciones, pensé que sería algo sencillo. Sin embargo al enterarme que estaría en el stand junto a su proyecto final de año, supe que debíamos esmerarnos un poco más...
Disponía de muy poco capital para hacer una inversión grande, y carecía de materiales reciclables para trabajar con lo que tenía en casa. Así que me fui con 2$ al pasillo de materiales escolares de un comercio y conseguí abastecerme de todo lo que necesitaba para que hiciéramos un trabajo bonito y bien hecho.
No tenía ni idea de qué iba a comprar, pero sabía que llevaría una libreta pequeña y algunas láminas de Foami. Jamás había trabajado con foami anteriormente, así que tenía cierta incertidumbre con el resultado.
Mi hija es FANÁTICA del grupo K-Pop "Blackpink", además de gustarle mucho "Kuromi", así que quise hacer esta libreta para glosario personalizada... Y los colores que escogí fueron acorde a ello.
Aquí les cuento un poco el proceso, en el que cabe resaltar, lo disfruté muchísimo!!!

When I was studying in high school, my favorite assignments were those that included a craft or creative work..... However it's been a few decades since then and even though I'm still creative in many ways, in school work one loses a bit the skills hehehehe.
My daughter has to hand in a glossary as part of her final assignment before leaving for vacation, I thought it would be something simple. However, when I found out that she would be at the stand with her final project of the year, I knew that we had to work a little harder....
I had too little capital to make a large investment, and I lacked recyclable materials to work with what I had at home. So I went with $2 to the school supplies aisle of a store and managed to stock up on everything I needed for us to do a nice, well done job.
I had no idea what I was going to buy, but I knew I would bring a small notebook and some Foami sheets. I had never worked with foami before, so I was a little uncertain about the outcome.
My daughter is a FAN of the K-Pop group "Blackpink", and she also likes "Kuromi" a lot, so I wanted to make this personalized glossary notebook... And the colors I chose were according to it.
Here I tell you a little bit about the process, which I really enjoyed it!!!
Inicié dibujando en un papel las partes del Kuromi, para posteriormente cortar las piezas en el Foami...
Una vez estuvieron las piezas listas, llevé a la plancha lo que sería la carita y el cuerpecito, los quería con una apariencia esponjocita 😁. Desconocía está técnica, gracias a mi amiga @mili2801 la aprendí y fue maravillosa 🙌.
Lo siguiente fue empezar a unir todas las piezas, las pegué con Silicon caliente.
Mi hija se llama Nicolle, asi que en vez de hacer la cosita que habitualmente lleva en la frente el Kuromi, le hice una N, por su inicial.
Sinceramente me pareció adorable la muñequita, pero mi hija me dice que la deje un poquito pasada de peso 🤣.
I started by drawing the parts of the Kuromi on a piece of paper, to later cut the pieces in Foami...
Once the pieces were ready, I took to the iron what would be the face and the little body, I wanted them with a fluffy appearance 😁. I didn't know this technique, thanks to my friend @mili2801 I learned it and it was wonderful 🙌.
The next thing was to start joining all the pieces together, I glued them with hot Silicon.
My daughter's name is Nicolle, so instead of making the little thing that Kuromi usually wears on her forehead, I made her an N, for her initial.
Honestly I found the doll adorable, but my daughter tells me that I left her a little overweight 🤣.
Lo siguiente fue hacer el forro de la libreta.
Para esto corté el Foami en cuadros, usé los tonos negro y fucsia para hacer alusión al grupo "Blackpink" que tanto le gusta a mí hija.
Los empecé a pegar en forma de tablero de Ajedrez con Silicon caliente, por la parte de adelante y por la parte de atrás también.
The next step was to make the lining of the notebook.
For this I cut the Foami into squares, I used black and fuchsia tones to allude to the group "Blackpink" that my daughter likes so much.
I started gluing them in the shape of a chessboard with hot silicon, on the front and on the back as well.
Ahora me enfoqué en la parte interna, para esto conté cuántas palabras habían por cada letra para así dejar la cantidad de hojas respectivas...
Luego, rellené con color el espacio de cada letra y le hice una pequeña portada.
Me habría encantado hacer uno de esos dibujos WoW, pero ahí no Soy muy buena 😁, así que me fui por lo básico.
Now I focused on the internal part, for this I counted how many words there were for each letter in order to leave the respective number of sheets...
Then, I filled with color the space of each letter and made a small cover.
I would have loved to do one of those WoW drawings, but I'm not very good at it 😁, so I went for the basics.
Como último paso, hice algunos detalles en foami para adornar la portada y finalmente armé.
La i me quedó un poco extraña pero... calculé mal el espacio y tamaño de las letras 🥹.
As a last step, I made some foami details to decorate the cover and finally put it together.
The i was a bit strange but... I miscalculated the spacing and size of the letters 🥹.
RESULTS // RESULTADO
Ahorita que detallo bien a mí Kuromi, quedó más como una gatita bien alimentada 😂... Pero igual es adorable.
Para ser mi primer trabajo con Foami me gustó mucho el resultado. Al principio tenía algo de temor, pero le pedí mucha sabiduría y creatividad a mi magnífico creador y a medida que iba viendo materializado lo que pensaba, sentía más confianza.

Now that I'm detailing Kuromi, she looks more like a well-fed kitten 😂.... But it's still adorable.
For my first work with Foami I really liked the result. At first I was a little afraid, but I asked my magnificent creator for a lot of wisdom and creativity and as I was seeing materialized what I thought, I felt more confident.
