Saludos, amigos de Hive en especial los amantes de las fotografías, en esta oportunidad les deseo mostrar estás hermosas fotografías del Monumento a Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa, Isla de Margarita, Venezuela.

Greetings, friends of Hive, especially photography lovers, on this occasion I would like to show you these beautiful photographs of the Monument to Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa, Margarita Island, Venezuela.

También conocido como "Plaza del Maestro", está ubicado en la Asuncion, Capital del Estado Nueva Esparta, justo al frente de la también conocida "Casa del Maestro", lugar de encuentro de los maestros del estado y ahorita más aún en la lucha de los maestros por hacer cumplir su contrato colectivo.

Also known as "Plaza del Maestro", it is located in Asuncion, Capital of the Nueva Esparta State, right in front of the also known "Casa del Maestro", a meeting place for the teachers of the state and now even more so in the struggle of teachers for enforcing their collective contract.

Ahora bien, les hablare un poco del maestro Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa, nace en la Asuncion el Marzo de 1902, fue un educador, abogado, político y poeta, principalmente se destacó como el mayor luchador de los derechos sociales y en la mejora de la educación Venezolana, el siempre decía que la educación debía ser gratuita y obligatoria, todos debían tener los mismos derechos, murió en Caracas a la edad de 91 años, dejando un gran legado y siempre recordado como el "Maestro Prieto".

Now, I will tell you a little about the teacher Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa, born in Asuncion on March 1902, he was an educator, lawyer, politician and poet, mainly he stood out as the greatest fighter for social rights and the improvement of Venezuelan education, he always said that education should be free and compulsory, everyone should have the same rights, he died in Caracas at the age of 91, leaving a great legacy and always remembered as "Maestro Prieto."
