Celebrando una ocasión especial [ESP-ENG]
Si hay algo que me encanta en esta vida es celebrar los momentos especiales y el bautizo de mi sobrina Amaya Victoria fue la ocasión más reciente que tuvimos. Está demás decir que yo soy la tía que decora y hace manualidades y para la celebración de este día importante fui la encargada de hacer y organizar la fiesta, para la cual elaboré una linda decoración con globos de color dorado y blanco, así como también unas letras y mariposas para las paredes, todo esto con la intención de tener un bonito espacio para tomar fotos de ese día que quedarían para el recuerdo.
If there is something I love in this life, it is celebrating special moments and the baptism of my niece Amaya Victoria was the most recent occasion we had. It goes without saying that I am the aunt who decorates and makes crafts and for the celebration of this important day I was in charge of making and organizing the party, for which I made a beautiful decoration with gold and white balloons, as well as some letters and butterflies for the walls, all this with the intention of having a nice space to take photos of that day that would remain as a memory.
La ceremonia del bautizo fue muy linda, sencilla pero significativa y especial, al salir de allí nos dirigimos a un restaurante a almorzar y luego de eso continuamos la celebración en casa de mis suegros, lugar donde esperaba la decoración y todo lo que se había preparado desde el día anterior. La primera en tomarse fotos en la decoración fue Amaya, la protagonista de ese día en el cual también estaba cumpliendo sus 6 meses de vida.
The baptism ceremony was very nice, simple but meaningful and special. When we left there we went to a restaurant for lunch and after that we continued the celebration at my in-laws' house, where the decoration and everything that had been prepared was waiting. since the previous day. The first to take photos in the decoration was Amaya, the protagonist of that day in which she was also turning 6 months old.
Las fotos familiares no se hicieron esperar y tomamos unas cuantas junto a Amaya aprovechando que estaba tranquila. Me habría gustado tomar una foto únicamente con ella y por lo menos cargarla pero ese día en particular no quiso dejar cargarse por nadie más que su mamá, sin embargo, pude fotografiarme con Amaya y sus padres, siendo nuestras primeras fotos juntos ahora como compadres.
The family photos didn't take long and we took a few with Amaya taking advantage of the fact that she was calm. I would have liked to take a photo with just her and at least carry it, but that particular day she didn't want to let anyone other than her mother carry it. However, I was able to take a photo with Amaya and her parents, being our first photos together now as compadres.
Ese día además de toda la decoración también hubo una linda torta que fue cortesía de la abuela paterna, la cual combiné con un lindo topper que elaboré especialmente para ese día.
That day, in addition to all the decoration, there was also a beautiful cake that was courtesy of my paternal grandmother, which I combined with a nice topper that I made especially for that day.
Ese día no faltaron las bebidas ni los pasapalos, entre los tíos de Amaya colaboraron con diferentes bebidas para celebrar y eso animó bastante a los invitados. Yo me mantuve repartiendo algunos pasapalos cada cierto tiempo, entre los cuales habían snacks y pepitos, pastelitos, tequeños y unos rollitos con salchichas que a todos les gustó. Eran aproximadamente 3 bandejas de pasapalos y aunque era mucha gente sobró una buena cantidad, aun así todos comieron y quedaron más que satisfechos.
That day there was no shortage of drinks or snacks, Amaya's uncles collaborated with different drinks to celebrate and that greatly encouraged the guests. I kept handing out some snacks from time to time, among which there were snacks and pepitos, pastelitos, tequeños and some rolls with sausages that everyone liked. There were approximately 3 trays ofpaspalos and although there were a lot of people there was a good amount left over, even so everyone ate and was more than satisfied.
Debo decir que a todos les gustó la decoración pero casi nadie se fotografió en ella, los invitados estaban más pendientes de pasar el rato pero yo si aproveché la decoración y mucho, así que siempre que podía iba y me tomaba fotos con alguien en la decoración, después de todo para eso era.
I must say that everyone liked the decoration but almost no one took a photo in it, the guests were more interested in hanging out but I did take advantage of the decoration a lot, so whenever I could I went and took photos with someone in the decoration , after all that's what it was for.
La fiesta transcurrió bastante tranquila, con algo de música, bebidas, pasapalos y muchas conversaciones. Normalmente no somos de hacer fiestas de este tipo sino más de esas reuniones intimas pero esta vez al tratarse de algo tan especial e importante como el bautizo de Amaya ambas familias se unieron para celebrar la ocasión y realmente la pasamos bien compartiendo entre todos. La celebración finalizó con la repartición de la torta que por cierto estaba divina y luego de eso todos comenzaron a retirarse. Aunque no lo crean la parte más difícil no fue limpiar la casa luego de la fiesta sino tener que desarmar toda la decoración y desinflar todos esos globos, fue todo un trabajón pero puedo decir que valió la pena porque todo quedó hermoso y perfecto.
The party was quite calm, with some music, drinks, partying and lots of conversations. Normally we are not ones to have parties of this type but more of those intimate gatherings but this time as it was something as special and important as Amaya's baptism, both families came together to celebrate the occasion and we really had a good time sharing with everyone. The celebration ended with the distribution of the cake, which by the way was divine, and after that everyone began to leave. Believe it or not, the most difficult part was not cleaning the house after the party but having to dismantle all the decorations and deflate all those balloons, it was a lot of work but I can say that it was worth it because everything was beautiful and perfect.
