¡Hola, cinéfilos y aficionados al suspenso!
Es algo impresionante que a veces me sienta vulnerable y sediento cuando no consigo ver una buena película de terror, en mi constante búsqueda de nuevas emociones, a veces me aventuro fuera del género de terror para explorar otros terrenos cinematográficos.
Sin embargo, hay veces que esos intentos terminan aburriendo, pero el director Scott Derrickson logra entretener a lo largo de la película que nos lleva por esos caminos que nunca queremos recorrer, es la forma en que narra y dirige un largometraje muy bien desarrollado y por eso vengo a comentar la oscuridad agravante de "El Teléfono Negro".
Esta producción está inspirada en la novela del año 2004 que lleva el mismo nombre de la película “The Black Phone” escrita por el hijo de Stephen King, Joe Hill. El film estrenado el 22 de junio de 2022.

El reparto cuenta con jóvenes promesas como Finney (Mason Thames), de 13 años, un chico completamente tímido que se ve atrapado en el desgarrador mundo del acoso escolar y la represión social.
Su historia es un conmovedor reflejo de la lucha a la que se enfrentan muchos niños en su camino hacia la autenticidad en un mundo que a veces puede ser despiadado, y también está su valiente hermana, Gwen (Madeleine McGraw), que posee un don psíquico bendecido y heredado por su difunta madre.
Estos niños son maltratados por un padre borracho protagonizado por Terrence Sawn (Jeremy Davies) que vivía de muy mal humor y sólo se calmaba con vodka mezclado con naranja.
La ola de niños desaparecido de un pueblo de Estados Unidos da la trama de la cinta cinematográfica. En el proceso de investigación en el que es demasiado torpe por unos detectives que acuden a los comentarios escuchados en el colegio de la hermanita de Finney, Gwen que tiene ese don psíquico y lo percibe durante sus sueños.
Para ser exacto una razón de ver este tipo de película es el suspenso que crea la trama y cooperación de los efectos de sonidos para llevar el horror al espectador.

Ethan Hawke, el malvado de la película
El horror viene de la actuación de The Grabber (El Raptor) una especie de mago y payaso que utiliza una máscara cautivadora para atraer a niños inocentes y, lamentablemente, secuestrarlos en una pesadilla que los persigue. Finney, tristemente, se suma a la lista de víctimas de este ente siniestro, quedando atrapado en una trama que oscila entre lo terrorífico y lo surrealista.
Es llevado a un oscuro sótano con un colchón totalmente sucio, es allí donde el horror y lo sobrenatural sucede con esas extrañas llamadas que provenían de las víctimas asesinadas por El Raptor. Con esa comunicación del más allá Finney hablaba con ellos guiándolo para salvar su vida, mientras ellos no pudieron salir de ese patético sótano.
En mi humilde opinión, hay resonancias de clásicos del terror como "IT" en esta obra. El típico payaso que juega con globos, la imagen de la niña con impermeable de color amarillo pedaleando su bicicleta bajo la lluvia.

Momento Destacado:
Lo que me agradó mucho de la película fue la actuación de los niños y sobre todo la de Gwen, esa naturalidad en el momento que ella se desenvuelve frente a la cámara, logrando que cada escena cobre vida de una manera extraordinariamente real. Hay una plano cuando el borracho de su padre la castiga sin piedad, es ese preciso momento es que realmente aprecio el talento que esta joven actriz aporta a la pantalla sus lágrimas, tristeza y su preocupación, esa pasión y ese drama que me hace sentir nostalgia y rabia.

Técnica Cinematográfica:
Es emocionante halagar a la música y es que amo con tanta pasión cada partitura que le dan al film, dirigida por Mark Korven, le añade esa ambientación de terror impecable llena de maldad y oscuridad.
Al principio de la historia vemos a Bruce Yamada(Tristan Pravong) pedalea su bicicleta muy alegre por el barrio, la vestimenta, claramente inspirada en la época dorada de 1970, se nota con claridad de ese clásico de Edgar Winter Group- Free Ride suena muy al rock and roll de Estados Unidos.
Bruce ve una furgoneta de color negra que se acerca a él y allí cambia totalmente el ambiente con la música que le añade Korven y logra tejer una ambientación de terror impecable, saturada de maldad y oscuridad, me recuerda a la presentación de cada capítulo de la serie de Ryan Murphy y Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story.

Hello, movie buffs and suspense fans!
It's kind of awesome that I sometimes feel vulnerable and thirsty when I don't get to see a good horror movie, in my constant search for new thrills, I sometimes venture outside of the horror genre to explore other cinematic terrains.
However, there are times when those attempts end up boring, but director Scott Derrickson manages to entertain throughout the film that takes us down those roads we never want to go down, it's the way he narrates and directs a very well developed feature film and that's why I come to comment on the aggravating darkness of "The Black Phone".
This production is inspired by the 2004 novel of the same name as the film "The Black Phone" written by Stephen King son, Joe Hill. The film will be released on June 22, 2022.

The cast features young up-and-comers such as 13-year-old Finney (Mason Thames), a completely shy boy who finds himself caught up in the heartbreaking world of bullying and social repression.

Ethan Hawke, the bad guy in the movie.
The horror comes from the performance of The Grabber, a kind of magician and clown who uses a captivating mask to lure innocent children and, unfortunately, kidnap them in a nightmare that haunts them. Finney, sadly, joins the list of victims of this sinister entity, becoming trapped in a plot that oscillates between the terrifying and the surreal.
He is taken to a dark basement with a totally dirty mattress, it is there where the horror and the supernatural happens with those strange calls that came from the victims killed by The Raptor. With that communication from the afterlife Finney talked to them guiding him to save his life, while they could not get out of that pathetic basement.
In my humble opinion, there are echoes of horror classics like "IT" in this work. The typical clown playing with balloons, the image of the girl with the yellow raincoat pedaling her bike in the rain.

Highlight:
What I liked a lot about the film was the performance of the children and especially Gwen's, that naturalness in the moment she performs in front of the camera, making each scene come to life in an extraordinarily real way. There is a shot when her drunken father punishes her mercilessly, it is that precise moment that I really appreciate the talent that this young actress brings to the screen, her tears, sadness and her concern, that passion and that drama that makes me feel nostalgia and rage.

Cinematographic technique:
It is exciting to praise the music and I love with so much passion every score given to the film, directed by Mark Korven, it adds that impeccable horror atmosphere full of evil and darkness. At the beginning of the story we see Bruce Yamada(Tristan Pravong) pedaling his bike very cheerfully through the neighborhood, the clothing, clearly inspired by the golden age of 1970, is clearly noticeable from that classic Edgar Winter Group- Free Ride sounds very American rock and roll.
Bruce sees a black van approaching him and there he totally changes the atmosphere with the music that Korven adds and manages to weave an impeccable atmosphere of terror, saturated with evil and darkness, it reminds me of the presentation of each chapter of the series of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story.
