La banda de Seattle regresa con “Dark Matter” la canción que le da título al álbum. El disco fue producido por Andrew Watt y grabado en los míticos estudios Shangri-La en Malibú.

Mi encuentro con esta joya musical fue pura casualidad. Navegando por mis redes sociales, vi que la banda compartió el tema y no pude resistir la tentación. Rápidamente me dirigí al Spotify oficial de la agrupación y dejé que las notas de "Dark Matter" me envolvieron, hizo que recordara el verdadero grunge de la agrupación con la voz áspera de Eddie Vedder.

Esperemos que el álbum suene al grunge que estamos acostumbrados a escuchar en los primeros discos ya que el último disco “Gigaton” no me complació su sonido.

El duodécimo álbum de estudio de la banda se grabó en tan solo 3 semanas del pasado año. La portada del álbum la realizó el artista Alexandr Gnezdilov en lo que utilizó un caleidoscopio para capturar el título y sacó letra por letra con ayuda de una linterna. El disco “Dark Matter” llegará el próximo 19 de abril.

Pearl Jam está conformada por Eddie Vedder(voz, guitarra), Jeff Ament(bajo), Matt Cameron(batería, percusión), Stone Gossard(guitarra) y Mike McCready(guitarra).

La banda nace en el año 1997 en Canadá, London y actualmente está conformada por las hermanas Morgan Lander (voz, guitarra) y Mercedes Lander (batería) junto a la guitarrista Tara McLeod y la bajista Ivy Vujic, Kittie regresa con su sencillo «Eyes Wide Open», producido por el talentoso Nick Raskulinecz, su primer tema después de 13 años. Las chicas de Kittie publicaron su último disco “I’ve Failed You” en 2011.

El video de «Eyes Wide Open» es un viaje a la oscuridad y a la claridad con una excelente iluminación resaltando los contrastes entre el negro y el rojo, sumergiéndonos en la esencia misma del metal. Es como adentrarse en un mundo donde la maldad y la potencia del metal se entrelazan manera hipnótica.

Así que preparen sus oídos para ser sacudidos y sus ojos para ser cautivados. Kittie está de vuelta, y su regreso es más oscuro, potente y emocionante que nunca. Kittie me sorprendió el día de San Valentín con su metal súper cargado de energía y adrenalina, hace mucho tiempo las conocí por el canal Mtv con el video de la canción Charlotte y desde allí empecé a escuchar sus discos.

Deicide- «Sever The Tongue»

El pasado miércoles 14 de febrero Deicide anuncia nueva canción «Sever The Tongue» para crear controversia dentro de la comunidad religiosa ya que se celebraba el miércoles de ceniza y dicho video estrenado con mucha blasfemia. “Banished By Sin” es el título del esperado álbum de la banda de death metal estadounidense, el lanzamiento está previsto para el 26 de abril a través de Reigning Phoenix Music.

Glen Benton viene con más oscuridad en este nuevo disco, con ingredientes al estilo de los 90 y el sabor moderno que vienen haciendo desde que la banda nació en el mundo de metal. Esperemos que sea un tremendo disco del metal. La agrupación estadounidense está integrada por Glen Benton(bajo), Steve Asheim(batería), Taylor Nordberg (guitarrista), Kevin Quirion(guitarrista de apoyo). La agrupación venezolana, Viniloversus vuelve con un gran tema «Medusa (No me digas no)», su primer adelanto de lo que será su sexto álbum de estudio que aún no sabemos del nombre y la fecha de salida. El sencillo viene acompañado de un videoclip que contó con la dirección de Topo Maseda y Joshua Collin. Dirección de fotografía de Stephen Lemieux y la producción de Topo Maseda, Joshua Collins, Stephen Lemieux y Mango Martinez.

La banda conformada en la actualidad por Rodrigo Gonsalves(guitarra y voz), Juan Víctor Belisario (bajo y coros), Orlando Martínez (batería) y Alberto Duhau (guitarra), ellos prometen regresar con un álbum más roquero que sus antiguos trabajos discográficos.

He tenido varias oportunidades de ver a esta agrupación en vivo, recuerdo aquel 08 de octubre del año 2008 en el Poliedro de Caracas cuando tuvieron el trabajo de ser los teloneros de la banda estadounidense Nine Inch Nails dejando su compensación venezolana muy en alto, luego los volví a ver en la ciudad de Caracas en el festival Nuevas Bandas en el año 2012, ese día estaba cubriendo el festival como medio de comunicación en ese momento era conductor del programa radial Mundo Rock que se transmitía por la emisora Santa Bárbara Stereo 101.1 Fm en Venezuela.

Esta semana estuvo muy movida en el mundo de la música y los estadounidenses de Vampire Weekend lanzan al mercado musical dos nuevos temas junto con ellos vienen con videos y se trata de “Capricorn” y “Gen-X Cops” que forma parte del nuevo material discográfico que lleva como título “Only God Was Above Us” y será liberado el próximo 5 de abril. “Capricorn” fue escrita por Ezra Koenig y producida junto a Ariel Rechtstaid.

La banda compartió en su Instagram que comenzaran una extensa gira norteamericana. Me encantó mucho el tema “Gen-X Cops”, suena a la magia que viene haciendo el grupo desde el comienzo de su carrera musical, muy indie. El día de mi cumpleaños estrenaran el disco, es un gran regalo que puedo obtener ese día.

The Seattle band returns with "Dark Matter", the title track of the album. The album was produced by Andrew Watt and recorded at the mythical Shangri-La Studios in Malibu.

My encounter with this musical gem was pure chance. Browsing through my social networks, I saw that the band shared the track and I couldn't resist the temptation. I quickly headed to the band's official Spotify and let the notes of "Dark Matter" envelop me, it made me remember the band's true grunge with Eddie Vedder's rough voice.

This week was very busy in the world of music and the Americans of Vampire Weekend released two new songs along with videos and they are "Capricorn" and "Gen-X Cops" which are part of the new album material entitled "Only God Was Above Us" and will be released on April 5. "Capricorn" was written by Ezra Koenig and produced together with Ariel Rechtstaid.
