Nothing and no one can snatch us from the hands of Jesus, because nothing and no one can overcome his love. The love of Jesus is invincible! (Regina Caeli, April 17, 2016) Text / Text
The essence of today's gospel is summed up in love, the greatest and purest love of Father to Son and of Messiah to his people: "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I give them the eternal life and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father has given them to me, and he is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of the Father's hand. The Father and I are one."
Who becomes one with the Lord, becomes one with God and that union in love is inseparable, eternal and unfading. Those of us who belong to the "flock" that Jesus shepherds live protected in the fold of his heart. Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd who gave his life for his sheep and rose again for his sheep and today lives to continue caring for his flock.

In those days, the festival of the dedication of the temple was celebrated in Jerusalem. It was winter. Jesus was walking through the temple, under Solomon's porch. Then the Jews surrounded him and asked him: “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us clearly.”
Jesus answered them: “I have already told you and you do not believe me. The works that I do in my Father's name testify about me, but you do not believe, because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they will never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
