Hola amigos de Hive, aunque esta es una comunidad de comidas, me gustaría comenzar con una pequeña reflexión. A lo largo de ella, iré publicando fotos de esta experiencia gastronómica que demuestra que además de la actitud, la comida también juega un papel importante en diferenciar un día bueno de uno malo. A veces pasamos por alto la verdad de reflexiones como la que contiene la frase del principio, pero cuando la logramos entender, estamos más cerca de tener éxito en nuestra vida. Por cierto, vivo en una ciudad llamada Maturín, en Venezuela para que puedas ubicarte geográficamente 😜.

Hello Hive friends, although this is a food community, I would like to start with a little reflection. Throughout it, I will be posting photos of this gastronomic experience that proves that besides attitude, food also plays an important role in differentiating a good day from a bad one. Sometimes we overlook the truth of reflections such as the one contained in the sentence at the beginning, but when we manage to understand it, we are closer to succeed in our lives. By the way, I live in a city called Maturin, in Venezuela so you can locate yourself geographically 😜.

Este parecía terminar siendo un mal día. No recuerdo muy bien cómo comenzó, pero lo que si recuerdo es que ese día tenía un compromiso con mi hijo en horas de la tarde y mi esposo se había ofrecido a acompañarnos. También sé que me sentía un poco desanimada. Sin embargo hicimos los arreglos para cumplir con nuestro compromiso. Como cosa muy extraña, mi hijo se alistó con tiempo de antelación, por cierto se puso muy guapo 😉. Yo no me comencé a arreglar tan temprano y estaba muy despeinada, sin embargo el tiempo fue suficiente para luego de vestirme, poder maquillarme y plancharme el cabello. Todo en ese orden.

This seemed to end up being a bad day. I don't quite remember how it started, but what I do remember is that I had an afternoon engagement with my son that day and my husband had offered to join us. I also know that I was feeling a little discouraged. However, we made arrangements to keep our engagement. As a very strange thing, my son got ready some time in advance, by the way he looked very handsome 😉. I didn't start getting ready that early and I was very disheveled, however the time was enough to after getting dressed, be able to do my makeup and iron my hair. All in that order.

Eso lo pude hacer en espera de que llegara mi esposo a buscarnos. Mi hijo estaba impaciente porque corría el tiempo y él pensaba que yo era quien nos estaba retrasando. Pero le comenté que estábamos esperando a su padre, que no importa lo que yo estuviera haciendo, que cuando él llegara nos iríamos y él se tranquilizó. Porque me vio primero arreglándome con menos tiempo que él, luego comenzar a maquillarme y por último planchándome el cabello.

Cuando ya si estábamos en la hora justa, mi hijo me pregunta si estaba segura de que su papá iba a venir y le dije que lo llamara. Entonces, nos enteramos que mi esposo tenía mucho rato accidentado en un sitio lejano y no muy seguro y estaba tratando de encontrar alguien que pudiera brindarle auxilio. Mi hijo dijo “bueno pero vámonos nosotros en el otro carro”. Aunque ya era tarde, buscamos y buscamos y no encontramos la llave por ningún lado, llamamos nuevamente a mi esposo y el busco en sus bolsillos y en el carro y allí estaban las llaves 👀.

I was able to do that while waiting for my husband to come and pick us up. My son was impatient because time was running out and he thought that I was the one who was delaying us. But I told him that we were waiting for his father, that no matter what I was doing, that when he arrived we would leave and he calmed down. Because he saw me first getting ready with less time than him, then starting to put on my make-up and finally ironing my hair.

When we were at the right time, my son asked me if I was sure his dad was coming and I told him to call him. Then, we found out that my husband had been in an accident for a long time in a distant and not very safe place and was trying to find someone who could help him. My son said "well, let's go in the other car ". Although it was already late, we searched and searched and could not find the key anywhere, we called my husband again and he searched in his pockets and in the car and there were the keys 👀.

Ya no podíamos hacer nada y nos quedamos como reza un dicho popular "como novia de pueblo, vestidos y alborotados". Yo, que no andaba de muchos ánimos sentí que las fuerzas me disminuían y literalmente me arrojé en la cama y allí comencé a quedarme dormida. Un rato más tarde llegó mi esposo, quien consiguió a un amigo que le remolcara el carro hasta la casa de su mamá que era la más cercana y luego un familiar lo trajo hasta la casa.

There was nothing we could do and we were left, as a popular saying goes, "like a village bride, dressed and disheveled". I, who was not in good spirits, felt that my strength was diminishing and I literally threw myself on the bed and there I began to fall asleep. A while later my husband arrived and got a friend to tow the car to his mother's house, which was the closest one, and then a relative brought it to the house.

A pesar de lo estresado que podía estar, y pienso yo, que por tratar de hacernos sentir bien, nos invitó a salir a algún lugar cercano para comernos algo, pero yo no estaba de ánimos. Sin embargo el insistió. Nos preparamos y nos fuimos a un lugar donde hay pequeños restaurantes en un mismo ambiente (feria de comida 😁), pero estaba desierto y muchos de ellos cerrados. Nos dijeron que quizás porque el día había estado lluvioso.

As stressed as he might be, and I think, trying to make us feel good, he invited us to go out somewhere nearby for a bite to eat, but I wasn't in the mood. However, he insisted. We got ready and went to a place where there are small restaurants in the same environment (food fair 😁), but it was deserted and many of them closed. We were told that maybe because the day had been rainy.

Bueno, sin proponernoslo elegimos un lugar de sushi muy lindo, que de hecho resalta de los demás locales de los pocos que quedan funcionando en el lugar y de los que estaban abiertos ese día. Y nos llevamos una grata sorpresa. El lugar se llama Sugo i Sushi, y solo estaban los empleados allí. Entonces nos pusimos cómodos e inmediatamente fuimos atendidos por una amable joven cuyo nombre pregunté, pero no recuerdo 😵.

Well, without intending to, we chose a very nice sushi place, which in fact stands out from the rest of the few sushi places that are still operating in the area and from those that were open that day. And we were pleasantly surprised. The place is called Sugo i Sushi, and only the employees were there. So we made ourselves comfortable and were immediately served by a kind young lady whose name I asked, but I don't remember 😵.

Ella nos dijo que ese día había una promoción de sushi, que de hecho está vigente para todos los días jueves. Esta promoción es, que si pedimos algunas raciones de sushi que alcancen los $22, la casa te regala otra ración de un sushi especial que no se encuentra en la carta todavía. Pues entonces nos decidimos por disfrutar esa promoción. Anteriormente, publique un post sobre otra experiencia con sushi, en otro restaurante, donde comí por primera vez el sushi Vulcan, así que decidí probar la versión de Sugo i Susshi y los demás no estuvieron en desacuerdo.

She told us that there was a sushi promotion that day, which in fact is in effect every Thursday. This promotion is that if we order a few servings of sushi for $22, the house will give you another serving of a special sushi that is not on the menu yet. So we decided to enjoy this promotion. Previously, I published a post about another sushi experience, in another restaurant, where I ate for the first time the Vulcan sushi, so I decided to try the Sugo i Susshi version and the others did not disagree.

Mi hijo preguntó por otras opciones de sushi frío y la muchacha nos recomendó el Palma Real. Así que nos sirvieron una ración (10 rolls) de Vulcan, una Palma Real y la otra, que era la especial de la promoción que se llama Sempu Roll y pronto lo incluirán en el menú. Amigos, les confieso que la comida estuvo riquísima, la disfrutamos un montón. A continuación te voy a mencionar lo que contienen los rolls Vulcan y Palma Real, el otro no aparece en el menú.

My son asked for other cold sushi options and the girl recommended the Palma Real. So they served us a portion (10 rolls) of Vulcan, one Royal Palm and the other, which was the special of the promotion called Sempu Roll and soon they will include it in the menu. Friends, I must confess that the food was delicious, we enjoyed it a lot. I will now tell you what is in the Vulcan and Palma Real rolls, the other one is not on the menu.

Vulcan Roll: Arroz, pescado, cangrejo crispy, queso crema, aguacate, cebollín con topping de crema de salmón, mayo spicy y salsa de anguila.

Palma Real:Arroz con ajonjolí, pescado, queso crema, camarón, cangrejo crispy con topping de pescado y salsa de anguila.

Vulcan Roll: Rice, fish, crispy crab, cream cheese, avocado, scallion with salmon cream topping, spicy mayo and eel sauce.

Royal Palm:Sesame rice, fish, cream cheese, cream cheese, shrimp, crispy crab with fish topping and eel sauce.

El Palma Real estuvo delicioso y el especial ni hablar, claro el Vulcan también estaba muy sabroso. Del Palma Real lo que más me gusto fue el topping de de pescado y salsa de anguila. Todo estuvo exquisito y fue suficiente y mucho más para tres almas hambrientas y generalmente comelonas. Recomiendo ampliamente este pequeño restaurante. Es lindo, cómodo y acogedor.

The Palma Real was delicious and the special not to mention the Vulcan was also very tasty. What I liked most about the Palma Real was the fish topping and the eel sauce. Everything was exquisite and it was enough and much more for three hungry and generally greedy souls. I highly recommend this little restaurant. It is cute, comfortable and cozy.

Además, el personal es muy amable y durante la semana tienen diferentes promociones. Las que les comenté es la del día jueves, pero hay días donde obsequian una de sus ensaladas y durante otros días ofrecen cosas diferentes.

También hacen delivery, si no puedes venir hasta el sitio o estas muy lejos. Me parece una excelente opción. Antes, cuando escuchaba a las personas hablar del sushi, no entendía porque lo exaltaban tanto, lo había comido, me había gustado, pero no lo veía tan especial. Incluso cuando mi hijo estaba pequeño él se enfermó del estómago después de comerlo y eso me dio un poco de miedo.

Also, the staff is very friendly and during the week they have different promotions. The one I told you about is on Thursday, but there are days when they give away one of their salads and on other days they offer different things.

They also do delivery, if you can't come to the place or you are far away. I think it is an excellent option. Before, when I listened to people talking about sushi, I didn't understand why it was so highly praised, I had eaten it, I liked it, but I didn't think it was so special. Even when my son was little he got sick to his stomach after eating it and that scared me a little.

Pero estas dos últimas ocasiones han sido sublimes, quizás porque muchas cosas convergen. La comida que es un idioma universal y alegra corazones, en especial cuando está muy rica, también que el mayor placer de vida para mi es comer y en tercer lugar, pero creo que es el más importante es, que lo he hecho al lado de mi familia, a pesar de las circunstancias no tan fáciles que me ha tocado vivir en esos momentos. Así que si estas en la localidad, anímate y acércate a Sugo i Sushi, que no te arrepentirás.

But these last two occasions have been sublime, perhaps because many things converge. Food is a universal language and gladdens hearts, especially when it is very rich, also that the greatest pleasure of life for me is to eat and thirdly, but I think it is the most important is that I have done it with my family, despite the not so easy circumstances that I have had to live in those moments. So if you are in the area, come to Sugo i Sushi, you will not regret it.
