Different furniture designs

Do you have a specific and special handiwork that you're proud of? In what area of handwork, craftwork or any art related work are you into or specialized on?

While waiting for your response, there is one i saw today that i couldn't hold my passion for photography as a member of photography lovers.

Today, i went to visit Mr Akpan's group of companies located opposite out hive office aba. As i get to his company, (they're dealers of all kinds of furniture including ophostery, center-table, dining chairs etc) what i saw threw me into amazement and without wasting time, i couldn't hold my urge to take some snaps.

There is this design i do see in chair's skeleton. To me, i solidly believe that they do purchase it like that from market not knowing that they're the designers. Now, let me show you the design

Did you see the design up there? Can you do it? I mean, can you create it? Imagine that its a teenage young hausa guy not up to 20 years that is the crafter. Look at him doing the work.

As you see from the picture above, he's chizzling the wood so as to create special designs in the wood that will match the furniture.

But, before chizzling, there are certain stages it must pass. First and foremost, an artist will have to draw some cool designs as you can clearly see and understand from the image below.

Secondly, they'll now use machine to create holes base on the design given.

This process is known as Jigging.

Done with jigging, this is the look.

At that point, the craft man will then use chisel to create designs following the drawings.
