Splinterlands Art Contest Week 335 | Katrelba Gobson 🗡🩸
Very good morning my dear readers of #Hive, happy Thursday to all of you and I hope you are having an excellent and productive day, your friend Manuel greets you as always and I am very happy to share with you a new post for my blog. This time I come to bring you my participation of this new week for the dynamics of #Splinterlands, where we are encouraged to illustrate characters of your game; in this case I decided to go towards the theme of the forests and the characters of goblins or Goblins, as is the case of the card of (Katrelba Gobson), which is a problematic Goblin who is dedicated to have conflicts and attack creatures like the Northern Centaurs, causing then they seek revenge on his people and against all his brothers goblins .... I hope you like it and I will leave you with the creation process so you can appreciate it better:
Muy buenos días mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras de #Hive, feliz jueves para todos y espero que estén teniendo un excelente y productivo día, por aquí los saluda como siempre su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post para mi blog. En esta oportunidad vengo a traerles mi participación de esta nueva semana para la dinámica de #Splinterlands, donde nos incentivan a ilustrar personajes de su juego; en este caso decidí irme hacia la temática de los bosques y los personajes de duendes o Goblins, como es el caso de la carta de (Katrelba Gobson), la cual es una problemática Goblin que se dedica a tener conflictos y atacar a criaturas como los Centauros del Norte, provocando luego que ellos busquen desquitarse con su pueblo y contra todos sus hermanos goblins…espero les guste y los dejare con el proceso de creación para que lo aprecien mejor:
PROCESS / PROCESO
Well, the first thing to do when making any drawing is to find a structure or skeleton for the character, in this case I chose to draw (Katrelba Gobson) as if she was hiding in the bushes of a forest, lurking while in her hand she holds her knife waiting to attack one of the northern centaurs. Usually for the skin I like to start with intermediate tones to scale up little by little, in this case I used an opaque green as a base and then with my airbrush I was giving the basic form of volume to the face, arms, ears and so on; then with the help of the same airbrush I began to create details of blush and warmth in areas such as the cheeks, eyelids and sides of the nose.
Bueno, lo primero a la hora de realizar cualquier dibujo es buscar una estructura o esqueleto para el personaje, en este caso opte por dibujar a (Katrelba Gobson) como si esta se estuviese ocultando entre los arbustos de un bosque, al acecho mientras en su mano sostiene su cuchillo esperando para atacar a alguno de los centauros del norte. Por lo general para la piel me guste empezar con tonos intermedios para ir escalando de a poco, en este caso use un verde opaco como base y luego con mi pincel de aerógrafo fui dándole la forma básica de volumen al rostro, los brazos, las orejas y demás; posteriormente con ayuda del mismo aerógrafo comencé a crear detalles de rubor y calidez en zonas como las mejillas, los parpados y a los lados de la nariz.
For the work of the eyes I wanted to convey a closed and a little sinister look for this character, I started with a base of gray for the eyeballs, then with some shades like crimson, scarlet red and brown detail very well the iris and pupils. For the hair painting I was looking for a quite voluminous hairstyle, for this I took a couple of brown and orange tones and created a very long and thick hair gathered in the back with a big bun, but still dropping some strands in the forehead area and on the sides of the ears. For the clothing work I worked on a separate folder, with grays I proposed to create a metallic corset for her bust, but with leather details for the lower area in which I used more brown tones; then for the shoulder area I used more yellowish tones to create thick, but full elegant shoulder pads.
Para el trabajo de los ojos quise transmitir una mirada cerrada y un poco siniestra para este personaje, empecé con una base de grises para los globos oculares, luego con algunos tonos como el carmesí, rojo escarlata y marrón detalle muy bien el iris y las pupilas. Para el pintado del pelo buscaba un peinado bastante voluminoso, para esto tome un par de tonos marrones y naranjas y cree una cabellera muy larga y poblada recogida en la parte de atrás con un gran moño, pero aun así dejando caer algunos mechones en la zona de la frente y a los lados de las orejas. Para el trabajo de la ropa trabaje en una carpeta aparte, con grises me propuse crear un corsé metálico para su busto, pero con detalles de cuero para la zona baja en la cual use tonos más marrones; luego para la zona de los hombros use tonos más amarillentos para crear unas hombreras gruesas, pero full elegantes.
For the creation of the knife which always carries (Katrelba Gobson) I used grayish and blue tones to replicate a metallic texture for the weapon but above all very bright, here I worked a little bit the shines for a while and placed white strokes on the edges to represent the edge of the knife; then with red tones and my dispersion brush I painted some blood stains stuck on the blade of the weapon, this to represent that the character of (Katrelba Gobson) is extremely aggressive and violent with creatures like the centaurs of the north. Finally, I set the whole scenery as if it was a forest at sunset, I started darkening a little the background creating a slight gradient effect with some clouds; then for the painting of the bushes I used a leaf brush that I have in the Sai along with a square paint brush and created many bushes along with some branches forming a path to the background.
Para la creación del cuchillo el cual siempre lleva (Katrelba Gobson) consigo use tonos grisáceos y azules para replicar una textura metálica para el arma pero sobre todo muy brillante, aquí trabaje un poco los brillos durante un rato y coloque trazos de color blanco en los bordes para representar el filo del cuchillo; después con tonos rojos y mi pincel de dispersión pinte algunas manchas de sangre pegadas en la hoja del arma, esto para representar que el personaje de (Katrelba Gobson) es sumamente agresiva y violenta con criaturas como los centauros del norte. Finalmente, ambiente todo el escenario como si este se tratase de un bosque al atardecer, empecé oscureciendo un poco el fondo creando un leve efecto degradado con algunas nubes; después para el pintado de los arbustos use un pincel de hojas que tengo en el Sai junto con un pincel de pinta cuadrada y cree muchos arbustos junto con algunas ramas formando un camino hacia el fondo.
