Guardian Queen | Waller Radiant Girl,🐋🌊

Happy Friday my dearest art and drawing lovers, as many of you already know my name is Manuel and of course it is a great pleasure to have you here again in my artistic blog. This time I wanted to make a representation of another of the characters of Holozing, more specifically of one of his aquatic creatures and my chosen one was (Waller Radiant), which is the evolution or second phase of the little (Walle) which I had already illustrated a few months ago in a style more like a mermaid or something like that, but this time I decided that besides giving it a humanized appearance I also wanted it to be a kind of Queen of the Ocean, which controls all the power of the waters and the creatures that live under it.

I hope you like it a lot and here I will show you part of the process of how I made it:

Feliz viernes mi queridísima gente amante del arte y el dibujo, como muchos ya me conocerán mi nombre es Manuel y por supuesto es un gran gusto tenerlos por aquí de nuevo por mi blog artístico. Esta vez quise realizar una representación de otro de los personajes de Holozing, más concretamente de una de sus criaturas acuáticas y mi elegida fue (Waller Radiant), la cual es la evolución o segunda fase de la pequeña (Walle) la cual ya había ilustrado hace algunos meses atrás a un estilo más como de sirena o algo así, pero esta vez decidí que además de darle una apariencia humanizada también quise que fuese una especie de Reina del Océano, la cual controlara todo el poder de las aguas y de las criaturas que habitan debajo de ella.

Espero les guste mucho y aquí les mostrare parte del proceso de como la realice:

To begin with, I looked for a pose in which the character (Waller Radiant) was holding in his hands a kind of trident or staff that in this case would have the appearance of a whale head very similar to the original creature; as it would be a representation of the creature in human form I put my best effort and I printed my characteristic style of drawing with slim build and details in his clothes that represented the idea I had in my head. In the case of the coloring of the skin I focused on looking for pink tones very close to the original tones of the character, fortunately in my color palette I have several, for the base I used a pink tone that allowed me to scale the strokes to achieve a quite noticeable volume in arms and face; and then the process of shadows and lights was much easier using a little flatter and harder brushes.

Para empezar, busque una pose en la cual el personaje de (Waller Radiant) estuviese sosteniendo en sus manos una especie de tridente o báculo que en este caso tendría la apariencia de una cabeza de Ballena muy similar a la criatura original; como se trataría de una representación de la criatura en forma humana pues le puse mi mejor esfuerzo y le imprimí mi característico estilo de dibujo con contextura delgada y detalles en su vestimenta que representasen mucho la idea que tenia en mi cabeza. En el caso del coloreado de la piel me enfoque en buscar tonos rosados muy cercanos a los tonos originales del personaje, afortunadamente en mi paleta de colores cuento con varios, para la base use un tono rosa que me permitiese escalar los trazos hasta lograr un volumen en brazos y rostro bastante notorio; ya luego el proceso de sombras y luces fue mucho más fácil usando pinceles un poco más planos y duros.

In the case of this character I tried to make her expression a little more serious since my idea is that she is a protective entity of her sisters Whales, but also of all the other creatures that are daily killed by hunters and fishermen; even so, I tried to make the eyes of a fairly intermediate size so she wouldn't look like a villain, I used many gray tones along with some yellow and white tones, and for the lips I used red and fuchsia tones. Once the face was finished I went directly to the creation of the hairstyle of my character, in this case I let my imagination guide me since the creature (Waller Radiant) originally has no hair XD, but well I took a few brown tones and a noisy brush and began to form the locks and scattered relief to give that circular volume of hair around the face and neck; then I complemented the hair adding thinner strands in the area of the forehead and placing strokes of glitter on top.

En el caso de este personaje trate de que su expresión fuese un poco más seria ya que mi idea es que fuese una entidad protectora de sus hermanas Ballenas, pero también de todas las otras criaturas que diariamente son amaneadas por los cazadores y pescadores; aun así, trate de hacer los ojos de un tamaño bastante intermedio para que tampoco se viese como una villana, use muchos tonos grises junto con algunos tonos amarillos y blancos, y para los labios tonos rojos y fucsias. Ya con el rostro terminado me pase directamente a la creación del peinado de mi personaje, en este caso deje que mi imaginación me guiase ya que el criatura (Waller Radiant) originalmente no posee cabello XD, pero bueno tome unos cuantos tonos marrones y un pincel ruidoso y comencé a formas los mechones y el relieve dispersos que diera ese volumen circular del pelo alrededor del rostro y el cuello; posteriormente complemente el cabello agregando mechones mas finos en la zona de la frente y colocando trazos de brillo arriba.

The first thing I thought was to create a diving suit style suit with some fins on the arms, but I didn't like this idea so much and I thought it wouldn't match with the original idea I had for the character, so I decided to create a long dress and slightly molded to the silhouette of her body with very similar tones to the pink of the skin of (Waller Radiant); Once I finished with the structure of the dress the next thing I did was to take one of the Krita brushes and create a small pattern of light and fuchsia spots that gave a great touch to her outfit. Another thing that occurred to me after I was almost finished with the dress was to create 2 sleeves of translucent or transparent fabric that went from the lower area of the shoulders to her hands, as if they were sleeves made of seaweed or some kind of sea plant.

Crear la vestimenta también fue un poco demorado al igual que el cabello ya que debía crearle desde mi imaginación, lo primero que pensé fue crear un traje al estilo de traje de buceo con ciertas aletas en los brazos, pero esta idea no me gusto tanto y me pareció no combinaría con la idea original que tenía para el personaje, entonces mejor opte por crear un vestido largo y levemente amoldado a la silueta de su cuerpo con tonos muy similares a los rosados de la piel de (Waller Radiant); una ves termine con la estructura del vestido lo siguiente que hice fue tomar uno de los pinceles de Krita y crear un pequeño patrón de manchas claras y fucsias que le diera un toque genial a su vestimenta. Otra cosa que se me ocurrió ya después que casi estaba terminando con el vestido fue crear 2 mangas de tela traslucida o transparente que fuesen desde la zona baja de los hombros hasta sus manos, como si fuesen mangas hechas de algas o alguna especie de planta marina.

For the final part it occurred to me that I could form a kind of open sea scenario from which the character of the (Waller Radiant) was emerging, for this I first created a small gradient effect of blue tones to represent a little the light source; then with a watercolor brush and I was forming some curved and irregular lines to better represent the movement of the water both around the character and further back in the background. Once I had finished with the water and had given a good effect of movement to the waves, the next step was to paint some silhouettes of whales swimming in the depths of the water to better complement my illustration.

Para la parte final se me ocurrió que podía formar una especie de escenario de mar abierto del cual el personaje de la (Waller Radiant) estuviese emergiendo, para esto primero cree un pequeño efecto de degradado de tonos azules para representar un poco la fuente de luz; luego con un pincel de acuarela y fui formando algunas líneas curvas e irregulares para representar mejor el movimiento del agua tanto alrededor del personaje como más atrás en el fondo. Ya una vez había terminado con el agua y le había dado buen efecto de movimiento a las olas, lo siguiente fue ir pintando algunas siluetas de ballenas nadando en las profundidades del agua que complementaran mejor mi ilustración.
