Lady Azula Cosplay in Low Key — My Portraitcontest Week #106 Entry #2

Azula_BW_a_s.jpg

A new edit of a frame I took during an anime festival some time ago. My commission was color and with more details but low key often serves to strengthen a character. And when the character is already strong, the looks are sometimes awesome.

Taken at ISO 100, Aperture F 8, Shutter Speed 1/160

Studio lighting.

Additionally increased black in the tone levels of the image so that some of the detail would sink into darkness. That could be one way to explain that strengthening I mentioned — the more you darken, the more only the strongest areas of highlight remain.

Enjoy!

This is my entry #2 for the weekly challenge by @portraitcontest. Take a look at all details here

The theme of week #106 is Low Key Portraits.

Good luck and have fun!

Yours,

Manol
