Tap2Earn games are only using us to make money
Hello Readers,
I hope you all are doing well in your life and enjoying the day with your loved ones. If you see a crypto enthusiast like me and keep an eye on the market, then you probably have noticed the sudden downfall of the crypto market because of a massive sell-off in the past 3 days. Just like all of you, I was also concerned about what caused this downtrend and after surfing on the internet, I found a couple of probable reasons. The main reason as published in multiple news media stated that the sharp decline in the stock market in Asia, especially in Japan and its stock market called Nikkei 225 fell by another 7% on Monday after having a continuous loss from last week. The Bank of Japan also announced to raise its policy rate by another 0.25% to bring back the balance, which is the highest level in the last 16 years. Apart from that, the current global geopolitical tensions may be a big reason behind this sharp dump and just like the main cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum which fell 3.42% and 5.54% respectively in the last 7 days. Our Hive has also been brutally affected by this sharp downtrend and from its recent high point of 0.23$ price mark, it has come down quite a bit and is currently being traded for only 0.19$. But right now, the market is trying to create a pullback from this point, so I hope it starts reversing the trend soon.
Now coming to the main topic of this post, let me talk about Tap2Earn games and if you read my previous posts, you know that I have been into theses Telegram mini-games for quite some time and have been posting about different projects and sharing my experience with you all. But recently, a series of incidents have affected my thinking about them and I admit, I am not so bullish anymore with them.
If you are a crypto enthusiast and love to keep yourself updated with this realm, then most probably the rise of Tap2earn games in the Telegram app has caught your eye. Seriously, crypto is a wild wild space and everything happens too quickly in this realm. After the launch of the Ton blockchain, we witnessed a rise of these types of mini-games on the Telegram app and due to the overwhelming global userbase of the Telegram app, most of these games went viral on a global scale and easily gained millions of player base. Like many of you, I also jumped on the Tap2earn boat around 4 months earlier and started playing some of these Tap2Earn games and spending some of my daily time after them. But as time passed by, I realized that I had made a mistake wasting my Time after them as though we all joined and started working on these projects with the hope that at least some of them would pay us handsomely in the future for our continuous effort, in reality, we are the ones who are getting used by these so-called games to make them rich. After getting cheated by a couple of those games I have realized that we are just wasting our valuable time and money on these games as they are just using us by making us watch YouTube videos and Ads, forcing us to buy or invest in their apps while all we are getting in return is pennies while they are probably making millions.
I felt like this for the first time when the Catizen game distributed their airdrop recently. I have been playing this game for almost 4 months and on a daily basis and I even spent some ton after this app in the hope that it will increase my allocation in the future airdrop. But I got a hard reality check when they distributed their token $CATI and after seeing the token, I only received 6$. Yes, after playing this game for about 4 months, spending Ton for daily check-ins and also begging my friends to use my referral to join and play the game, what I received was not even enough to pay for the internet I used after it. But even then I thought it was okay because, of course, not all the game airdrops will be fruitful and continued working on the other projects.
The next and the biggest shock I received from my favourite Tap2Earn game Hamster Kombat. Hamster Kombat was the most hyped game on this entire tap2earn region with millions of players and followers across all their social handles. They are using us, users, for months to make money by making us watch their shitty youtube videos, playing shady 3rd party games and doing numerous social tasks like following, commenting or sharing their Tweets etc and whatnot in the name of their potential huge airdrop and I also got carried away with those promises and wasted a portion of my time on a daily basis to play the game doing these tasks.
Finally, after around 4 months of working hard on this game, my stats were very good compared to many others as I have shared in my previous posts. I had accumulated around 6.5 million PPH (points per hour) earning rate and almost 900 keys and also unlocked many badges on their achievement page. When the TGE and airdrop update surfaced and I got my token allocation, I was really happy to see that I had received 4382+ $HMSTR tokens for my efforts and 3867 tokens among them will be tradeable on 26th September, which is the date they will list their token on big exchanges lime Binance or Bybit etc. I was really happy and counting the hours and I was already very hyped up because their token price on pre-market was really promising.
But when the tokens were finally allocated in all our accounts, I was shocked to see they only got listed for around 0.01$, Not to mention the ones like me who didn't put in the details of their exchange and wanted to claim the tokens on-chain got even more scammed, as we could not claim our token for literally 1.5 days. Finally, when I got my tokens on Ton wallet after trying hundreds of times, the price had already fallen down to 0.006$ due to massive sell pressure and no buybacks and I only received around 26$ for my stash. I literally felt like getting scammed because all of my time that I spent on these Tap2Earn games, most of it was after Hamster Kombat, so I really thought I would get at least more than a Hundred dollars from this game for the time and sweat I spent after this project. This incident literally broke my heart and not to mention, I have lost all my interest in these games after this tragic outcome.

For catizens, they give the biggest reward to those who are the earliest. Because at that time, we can get $wCATI just by staking fish coins or level 200+ cats.
As for Hamster Kombat, I'm also a little late because I only joined in June. I've started to leave that game since they added a lot of things to their game.
And just like you, I also started to lose interest in playing similar games. And concentrate more on posting here.
Sorry to hear about the collapse in earnings from those Tap2Earn games. It does make me think of the old addage of picking up pennies in front of a steamroller sometimes with crypto games.
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project! Check out our Reading Suggestions posts!

How much in $ did they gave out as rewards?
Hi, I agree, a lot of time is wasted on those Telegram games, nice post my friend.👍👍👍
Taking advantage of players is bad policy, it is these tricks that kill the market, it is a shame that you have gone through that situation.
I wish you much better luck in your next investment.
Yep, more and more seems to be the case: after notcoin and the sucess it was in terms of airdrop, everything that came after seems to try and force users to endless click and provide yt views. After hamster flop, I reached the same conclusion you did: too much wasted time for pennies. I will only play something if I find it entertaining, and if there's an airdrop, the better; but doing chores is pointless.
I don't really understand what future tap to earn could have. I'm not involved in these mechanisms yet, thanks for talking about it
