What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your family and friends and playing this amazing game in your free time. Well, the Hive token is fighting strong and has been successful in holding its position around 0.2$ till now but as I checked today, the HBD token price has fallen sharply and is now being traded for around 0.93$ right now. On the other hand, for splinterlands players, I hope all of you are battling well in the arena right now because the ongoing ranked season has less than 8 days to meet its end, so in order To reach our goals, we must fight hard because soon the entire battlefield will turn into a bloodbath during the last 2 days of season end where OG splinterlands players from all around the world gets super active. For me, gladly I have reached my Goal in the last season by reaching the Champion League and for this time as well, I am Working on the same task. Currently, I am playing at the Diamond II tier with a current trophy rating of 3,240. Now, let’s see if I can reach my goal before the time reset this time as well.

Now moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about 2 more Rebellion cards with you all. In my previous posts, I talked about the monsters in this new edition that cost only 1 mana. So after completing that series, let me bring a new one to you all where I will be showcasing monsters with opportunity ability and today, I will be showcasing 2 such monsters below. So if you are interested, let’s take a leap of faith without any further ado.

Thanalorian Blade

The monster that I would like to add as the first monster in this series is Thanalorian Blade as I think this is one of the most deadliest cards in this new edition. This is a monster card that belongs to the Earth element and its attack type is melee. It costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so you can create powerful lineups while using this card whenever playing medium to high mana limit matches. This is an epic type card, so you will need a total of 46 BCXs of cards to upgrade this card to the max level. Apart from having a good melee attack, armour + health combo and a decent speed, this monster also possesses multiple abilities that I am going to talk about below.

Right now, I only have this card at level 3 and it already looks powerful at this level. At its initial level, it only possesses 2 melee attacks at 3 speed with 1 armour and 5 health and also gets its first ability - Opportunity. At the next level, though its stats remain the same, it gets one brand new ability called Execute. With this ability, if the target has 2 or less health after a successful attack, then this card will perform another attack on the target. Next at level 3 also, it keeps the same stats as of its previous level but instead, it gets a new ability called Lookout. After level 3 it starts to increase its stats and finally, at level 6, it gets another ability called Trample. In the final stage, it carries 4 melee attack at 3 speed with 1 armour and 6 health. So now, if you have been poked for long with high armour and low health guard monsters, you have the perfect weapon to answer them.

Olivia of the Brook

The second card that I would like to mention here is none other than the Olivia Of The Brook and I am pretty sure many of you have already either seen this card on the battlefield or been using one to kill down your opponents easily and make them jealous. I personally like this card very much as well because not just her majestic appearance, but her stats and abilities will also mesmerise you for a while. This is also a monster card that belongs to the Life element. It has dual attack type melee + magic and it is also an epic type card, so you will need a total of 46 BCX of cards to upgrade this creature to the maximum level. This card also costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily choose her while playing medium to high mana limit matches. Apart from possessing dual attacks with a decent speed and a good armour + health combo, it also carries multiple abilities which will surely be helpful in battles.

I have this card only at level 3 right now, so I don't take risks by choosing this monster in my lineup while playing against all max card lineups. But soon when this card gets upgraded to max, I am very sure this card will be one of the top used cards. At level 1, this card only possesses 1 melee and 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 4 health along with the Opportunity ability. When it reaches 2nd level, all of its stats remain the same but it does get a brand new ability called Mimic. With this new ability, it can randomly mimic an enemy card’s ability from round 2 onwards and 25% chance it will mimic the ones who hit this card. Dispel can remove one of these gained abilities at a time in the reverse order and some abilities like Taunt, Flank, Charge etc can't be mimicked. However, from level 4 onwards, it starts to increase its stats and finally, at level 6, it gets 2 melee + 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 1 armour and 6 health and also gets a new ability called - Reflection Shield. So now, you can understand how important this card is to have in your card collection.

It isn't easy to utilize Thanalorian Blade's EXECUTE. If the target has 3 Health points and 1 ARMOR, it cannot use EXECUTE. Situations or assistance from other monsters are required to support the use of EXECUTE.

  • Such as using Magic monsters to attack first the target that has less than 5 ARMOR (2 ARMOR if they have SHIELD ability) >> and if 2 Health points remain, Thanalorian Blade can use EXECUTE.
  • Or use a Melee or Ranged monster with SHATTER to attack first if the target has ARMOR and 6 Health points (4 if it has SHIELD).
  • You can also use a Ruleset that removes ARMOR on all monsters (UNPROTECTED).

For Olivia it can be used even at level 2 (because she already has a Mimic). but it is true what you said, at that level it is still too risky because her Health points are still too small which can make her a target for OPPORTUNITY monsters or take damage from BLAST.
