Splinterlands | These 2 Monsters can Evade Magic Attacks
What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are enjoying a pleasant day with your loved ones and also enjoying while playing Splinterlands in your daily free time. Whoever plays this game knows how it feels to build a big collection of rare NFT cards from scratch which can go for years where not all cards you can buy with money but have to actually play the game and get them As rewards. Now in every ranked season, we get about 14 to 16 days to play and reach the highest league tier or a place in the leaderboard before the timer hits zero because after the season reset, we would get rewards based on our performance throughout the season. Now taking a look at this ongoing season, we have come to almost the end of this current season and only 3 days left before it gets reset. Looking at my own performance, I have been very busy celebrating the Durga Puja Festival here at my hometown, so this season I haven't played actively. Right now, I am at the Diamond II tier with a current trophy rating of 3,200 and in order to reach the next tier, I need another 200 trophies from here. Let’s see if I can manage some time during the season end to push it to the next tier or not.
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about new Rebellion Reward cards again while Focusing on a new ability. In my previous post, I talked about cards with the Reach ability and continuing this series, today I will be discussing about 2 New reward monsters with the Phase ability. The Phase ability is very useful against magic monsters because monsters having this ability will have the ability to evade magic attacks with the same calculation used for melee and range attacks. So, if you are interested, let us take a dive without any further ado.
Continuum Seer
The first card that I would like to talk about here is CONTINUUM SEER and as I said above, this monster card got first released in the game with the latest Rebellion Reward card-set. This lady magician can throw lethal magic power to enemy cards and also is protected with decent armour and health. This monster belongs to the Fire element and it costs only 4 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily choose it when playing small to medium mana limit matches or the ones with Little Leagues ruleset. The attack type of this monster is magic and it is a Rare type card, so you will need a total of 115 BCXs of cards to upgrade it to max level. Apart from having a good magic attack at high speed, it also possesses a decent combo of armour and health and also 2 abilities which make this card even more powerful.
At level 1, this card only has 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 1 armour and 2 health and it also gets the Backfire ability since its initial level. But as you start upgrading her, she receives the Phase ability from level 3, 2 magic attacks from level 4 and finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level of 8, it gets an increased 3 magic attack at 8 speed with 1 armour and 2 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. With the backfire ability, if an enemy card misses this unit with an attack, the attacker takes 2 melee damage. Though it does not get any new ability even at its max level, I think its high magic attack can make it up for you.
Giant Alpine Skink
The next card that I would like to mention here is the mighty GIANT ALPINE SKINK and this card was also released with the latest Rebellion edition reward card set. This fierce looking Dinosaur hides deep into the water and only gets up when it is hungry. This monster belongs to the Water element and it costs 8 mana to be used in battles, so you may select this card in your lineup while playing medium to high mana limit matches. This is a common type of card, so you will need a total of 400 BCXs of cards to upgrade this card to max level. The attack type of this card is melee and apart from a good melee attack and speed, this monster also holds a defensive combo of armour + health along with 3 abilities which I will be talking about below.
At level 1, this monster receives 3 melee attack at 3 speed with 2 armour and 6 health and it also gets the Shield ability from its first level onward. But as you start upgrading this card to its next levels, it will get 4 attack power at level 2, the Phase ability at level 5 and when finally you upgrade this card to level 10, it will possess 4 melee attack at 5 speed with 3 armour and 9 health along with a new ability called Stun with those 2 existing abilities. Now while the Shield ability will help this card to receive reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks, the Stun ability if applied on the enemy card while attacking which has a 50% chance, will make that enemy card miss its next turn. So this monster will be a good choice as a front defence card.
I hope you liked reading my post and let me know which of those 2 monsters you liked more in the comments below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
