What’s up my fellow splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and enjoying the day with your family and friends. If you are a splinterlands player, then you must have heard about the DHF Proposal which recently got published by official splinterlands asking for a total of 500k HBD funds to revive the game economy and if you love this project, I would urge you to vote on this proposal and help this project thrive again. Now, coming back to the game, the last ranked season just ended a couple of days ago and a fresh season has also started which will be ended after around 12 days. So, I hope by now all of you have collected your season rewards and now progressing in this ongoing season. I am also doing the same and currently playing at the Diamond III tier with a current trophy count of 3060. Right now, my goal is to reach the Diamond II tier within the next 2 days while keeping a good win rate.

Now, allow to me move forward as today, I will talk about another ferocious monster with you all and as you have already seen him in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing about LIOCEROS. So without any further ado, let us jump right in.

LIOCEROS

LIOCEROS is a monster type NFT card in splinterlands that was launched with the latest Rebellion edition card set. It is a core rebellion card that belongs to the Earth element and it costs 7 mana to be used in battles, which means you can easily use this card when playing medium to high mana limit matches. It is a rare type of card that needs a total of 115 BCX cards to be upgraded to max level and its attack type is melee. Now, let us take a further look at its league wise stats and abilities below.

BRONZE

At level 2, this card possesses 3 melee attack at 2 speed with 4 armour and 7 health snd it also gets the Thorns ability since its initial level. With the help of Thorns ability, it will reverse damage whenever hit by a melee attacking card.

SILVER

When upgraded to level 4, this card gets 3 melee attack at an increased 3 speed with 6 armour and 8 health. But it does not get any new ability at this level.

GOLD

Upon reaching level 6, this monster receives 3 melee attack at a further increased 4 speed with 8 armour and 9 health and it also gets another ability called Trample from level 5. With this new ability, whenever it attacks and kills down an enemy, it will perform an extra attack on the next enemy card.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level of 8, it gets an increased 4 melee attack at 4 speed with 9 armour and 9 health. But even at max level it does not get any new ability. However, the strong health + armour combo makes it very defensive and no doubt it will last longer in battles.

BATTLE STAT

When playing today, I got a large 47 mana limit match in which only 2 elements were allowed - Earth and Death and also, there were 3 rulesets allowed in this match - Back to Basics, Rise of the Commons and Blast. After thinking about my strategy for this match, I finally decided to choose the Legendary Earth summoner Immortalis and at my first place, I selected the Lioceros followed by Goblin Tower, Mycelic Slipspawn, Regal Peryton, Rune Crafter and Vampiric Blossom at the end position. When both the lineups got revealed, I found out that my opponent had chosen the same Immortalis summoner and at his front, he chose the Terraceous Grunt followed by Hill Giant, Mycelic Slipspawn, Suidae Shaman, Regal Peryton and Uloth Dhampir at the end position.

MATCH PERFORMANCE

As this match includes the back to basics rulesets all the monsters lost their abilities and got the blast ability from the match rulesets. Anyway, when the match started, the enemy Peryton attacked first and damaged my Lio’s health down to 6 and also took away Armour from him due to the Shatter ability. But then my powerful Lio also attacked the enemy Grunt and damaged both him and Hill Giant and decreased the Grunt’s health down to 3. Next, the enemy slipspawn attacked my Lio and decreased its health down to 4.

After that, the enemy shaman attacked my Lio again and wounded its health down to 2 this time. My Runecrafter attacked next and killed down Both the front enemy cards Grunt and Giant. Finally, the enemy card Uloth attacked and killed down my Lio. But as we saw, my Lio protected my other cards for the whole First round and also helped to kill down the first 2 enemy cards. As the match continued, my minsters killed down the rest enemy minsters easily and thus I won another amazing match and earned some More SPS.

I hope you liked watching the battle and also killed reading my battle post. Do you also use this monster in your lineup often? What are your experiences and thoughts about this particular monster? Let me know in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
