SPLINTERLANDS Rewards DEC -> SPS Update | CRYPTO Market Watch

I hope all of you are well and enjoying life with your loved ones. For us crypto enthusiastic people, right now the time is not going very well as we are in a downtrend for quite some time now. Its been over 3 months since the BTC went below 30k$ and nearly 2 months since it is vibrating around 20k$. As usual, the ETH is also following the red trend with BTC. And on top of that, 2 back to back massive but tragic incident of Luna and Celsius made it even worse as they seems to extend the this bear situation way more. As a splinterlands player and investor, seeing the card prices falling so much from their all time high position is also painful. No doubt that It’s a great time to buy cards and other assets on splinterlands like packs, lands or tokens. I think Investing, earning and hodling is the best option for us right now and be prepared slowly for the next bull run. Right now, we are just passing the middle of this current season with only 7 days and 18 hours left for this season to end, so all the best and wish you a thousand chests!

As per the official splinterlands team posted in their latest town hall post on hive, the SPS rewards will go live within just some hours as I am writing this. The ranked match win rewards, rewards chests and the leaderboard prizes will be converted from DEC to SPS and a finite pool amount of SPS will be allocated to spread the rewards among players. This event will decrease the generation of dec by 80% as they have stated in official discord. In near future, they will also incentivise brawls with SPS rewards and a total of 2.5 million SPS per month will be distributed among brawl players. I am really excited to see this update to come alive.. and let’s see how it affects the environment. But one thing. All the rewards will be in staked form and not liquid, which I think will help with stability and growth with the SPS price.

Now, let us take a quick look right now at the crypto market to get updated with the current scenario. The main market dominator Bitcoin is currently trying to getting back to 22k$ with a current price of 21,531$ per unit with a +1.66% price growth within last 24 hours. The other giant Ethereum is also trying to catch this quick uptrend with btc with even a better response carrying a current price of 1,650.65$ per unit with a +5.79% price growth within last 24 hours.

Now, taking a look at our Hive, it is surviving a dip since last day and lost it’s place since last week from 0.61$ to 0.55$. However, the current price of hive is 0.552$ per unit with a +1.80% positive growth in last 24 hours so slowly but still, it is also catching up.

Now, let us view those splinterlands tokens to see how they are performing in this situation. The DEC rewards are soon to be changed with SPS in splinterlands and this change is already taking more chain reactions with it. The DEC has already seen a good bounce on it’s price, straight from 0.00055$ to 0.00080$ because of the good pump and is currently trading for 0.00082$ per unit with a +21.21% price rise in last 24 hours.

On the other hand, SPS aka Splintershards has lost value since last week and come down to 0.055$ from 0.07$ and currently being sold for 0.0567$ per unit with a +3.71% growth un price since past 24 hours. Now, taking a quick peak at the other splinterlands tokens and assets, the chaos packs on HE has gained some positive momentum in last days and has come above 2$ from 1.78$ and currently being sold for 2.25$ per unit. Vouchers are still pretty stable and being sold for 0.443$ per unit with negligible change in price. Plots are selling for around 164$ per plot and I think it’s still a lucrative price if anyone want to grab them. Lastly, SPT or splintertalk tokens has lost -2.48% value in last 24 hours and currently being sold for 0.00072$ per unit.
