Splinterlands | My top 3 EPIC Gladius cards

What's up my fellow splinterlands lovers!

I hope all of you good souls are having an amazing day with your family and friends and also enjoying a good time playing the best #play2earn game on crypto! Well, if you are a daily player just like me, you must know that we have already come near the middle of this ongoing ranked season and right now, only 9 days left for it to meet the end. So, I guess you are applying your full power into the arena and winning as many matches as you can and feeling the season rewards bar with more and more chests. For me, I am as usual battling in the Diamond league and right now playing at Diamond I tier with a current trophy count of 4,034. As I decided in the last season that I will be focusing on collecting season reward chests early this time, I am doing so since the beginning of this ranked season and till now, I have collected 67 chests and have another 9 + days in hand, hopefully, this time I may reach my goal of collecting at least 100 season reward chests before the season end. So wish me luck and let’s see if I can reach there.

Now, as I am playing on a daily basis and fighting for both season and daily focus reward chests, I am opening a decent amount of focus chests every day and today also, I have finished playing my focus mission already which was with Stealth rule and collected a total of 12 reward chests, which I will be opening tomorrow morning. I am liking the new update in the game with which the daily focus reset timer is now fixed, but no need to worry when you open the game and claim your daily rewards, cause it doesn't matter anymore when you claim and collect your rewards, the rest timer will auto start after the fixed reset time. Anyways, apart from getting soul-bound cards, SPS and other stuff, we also got merit points from those reward chests which were used in buying Gladius packs. Both merits and gladius cards are soul-bound items, which means that they will be limited to the source account and you cannot buy or sell them, send or receive them or even delegate or rent them. So, the only way to get these gladius cards are by playing and collecting them by opening gladius packs using merits. Just 2 days ago I bought and opened 25 Gladius packs using my merit stack that I was saving for a while and pulled 1 legendary and some great epic cards and many other cards out of them. I have already shared the outcome in my last splinterlands post if anyone is interested to take a look at it.

Right now Gladius cards are very important assets in this game as they can now be used in ranked matches and tournaments as well and as they are strictly bound to their source playing accounts can not be acquired with money, real players get an upper hand here. Anyways, let us now jump into the main topic in this post as today, I will be sharing my top 3 epic Gladius cards in this post.

QUORA TOWERSHEAD

The first epic card that I want to showcase is obviously Quora Nightshade and I believe 99% of you will stand by this card to be your top epic gladius choice. Quora is literally phenomenal and one of the most shouted gladius cards and also widely used because of its dual melee + magic attack, especially in high mana limit matches. If belongs to the Earth splinter and it costs a whopping 10 mana to be used in battles.

At max level, this card possesses 2 magic + 3 melee attacks at 3 speed with 13 health along with 4 abilities - Bloodlust, Heal, Immunity and Dispel. Even at level 1, it comes with the dual attack type and with heal + bloodlust ability so it’s very useful even in bronze and silver league. In my experience, this card is really powerful in high mana limit matches and is a defensive card also because of its healing ability. I only have a level 3 of this card but even at a lower level, it gives me a great service when being used against max monsters.

MARISOL CONTUMA

The second card that I will be showcasing today is nine other than the Marisol Contuma which is the second best epic card in the whole Gladius series collection. This card belongs to the Life Splinter and it is also a high-powered card that costs 9 mana to be used on the battlefield. This card is crafted in such a way to provide both defensive and offensive stand in battles and I hope just like me, you guys also love to use this card often.

When you upgrade this card at max level, it will have a whooping 6 melee attack at 5 speed with 4 armour and 9 health along with 4 abilities - Reach, Bloodlust, Inspire and Trample. However, I only have this card being upgraded at level 3 so far but still, I use it often because of its high melee attack that comes with bloodlust and Reach ability at level 3. Because of the Reach ability, this card can attack from the second position in the lineup and hence, it serves as a second line of defense for you protecting the cards standing behind it.

EDITH EMBERSTAR

The third and last card that I want to select in my top 3 list would be the Edith Emberstar and though I do not use it too often (of course because I always try to use the first 2 cards when battling), whenever being used, this card also helps me greatly to win matches. This card belongs to the Water splinter and it costs 8 mana to be used in battles. Its attack type is ranged and possesses a high attack from its initial level.

When being upgraded to max level, this card gets 6 ranged attacks at 4 speed with 7 health along with 3 abilities - Bloodlust, Cleanse and Strengthen. The cleansing ability is the main attraction for me in this card as it helps to clear out all the negative stat effects from my first card in the lineup. Not to mention that its high ranged attack often kills down the enemy cards with just one blow and this, its bloodlust ability also has a good chance of being unlocked often and giving you increased overall stats. However, I only have a level 3 of this card as well and waiting badly to upgrade these cards to max level asap.
