What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in life and spending an awesome day with your loved ones. For those of you who play splinterlands on a regular basis, I guess that by now, all of you guys have entered the battlefield on this fresh new ranked season and also claimed and used your Glint points to buy reward cards or other in-game items. The current time is really exciting in splinterlands because, after the release of the newest edition of Rebellion Reward cards, we now have a new mission to accomplish, which is to collect them all in your collection and learn to play well with them and earn more victories. Now, for this ongoing ranked season, we still have around 11 days in hand before it ends, but time flies fast in the land of splinters, so be sure to grind towards your goal sooner, whether it is to reach any particular league tier or to battle and secure a spot in the champ leaderboard. For me, I will also fight for the same goal as usual, which is to reach the Champion League before the season ends and hope I reach there before the season reset.

Now moving on, let me come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be showcasing another amazing Reward monster with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about HALARAN HUNTRESS, so if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

Halaran Huntress

HALARAN HUNTRESS is a monster type card that was introduced in the game with the launch of the latest edition of the Rebellion Reward card set. This mobster belongs to the Earth element and its attack type is Melee. It costs only 4 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily choose this card while playing small to medium mana matches or the ones with Little Leagues ruleset. However, in some cases, it can be chosen to play large mana-limit matches as well, especially due to its Charge ability. It is a common type of card, so you will need a total of 400 BCXs of cards in order to upgrade this card to the maximum level. Now, apart from a good melee attack, speed and a high amount of health, this monster also comes with very useful abilities which I will be talking about later in this post. Let us now take a further look into this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 3, this monster only possesses 2 melee attack at 3 speed with 3 health along with 2 abilities which it got since its initial level - Flying and Charge. With the help of the Flying ability, this card gets a 25% higher chance of evading a melee or ranged attack from a non-flying enemy card and on the other hand, with the help of the Charge ability this monster can perform a melee attack from any position and will target the enemy card in the first position.

SILVER

When this card reaches level 5, it receives the same 2 melee attack at an increased 4 speed with 4 health and not only that, it also receives a new ability at this level called Snare. With this new ability, now whenever this monster attacks a flying ability card, it will hit that enemy card with 100% accuracy and will also take away the flying ability from the enemy card.

GOLD

As this card reaches level 8, it gets an increased stats of 3 melee attack at 4 speed with 6 health. However, it does not get any new ability at this level. But, I personally think the increased melee attack will be enough at this level with those 3 abilities to kill down enemy cards.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level of 10, it possesses a further increased stats of 4 melee attack at 4 speed with 7 health along with those 3 abilities that I mentioned above. Now, even at its max level, it does not get any new ability, but looking at its overall stats, I feel this monster is already powerful if compared to its 4 mana cost.

BATTLE STAT

This time, I received a high 42 mana limit match where 4 elements were available to select from - Fire, Water, Earth and Dragon and there were also 3 match rulesets applied in this battle - Lost Legendaries (no legendary monsters can be used in this battle), Heavy Hitters (all monsters get the Knock Out ability, so they can deal double damage to stunned monsters) and Up, Close and Personal (only melee monsters can be used in this battle). For this match I was limited to choosing only Melee monsters so after thinking about a suitable lineup, I decided to choose the Eternal Tofu mainly for its Thorns ability and thought to select a strong defence at front and fill the rest spots with sneak and opportunity monsters. So as thought, I started building my lineup for this match. At first, I chose the Eternal Tofu Earth summoner and at my front place, I chose Arkemis the Bear followed by Bramble Pixie, Halaran Huntress, Uraeus, Venari Scout and Mad Ogre Anarchist at the end position of my lineup.

Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent has also used the same summoner Eternal Tofu and at his first defence position, he selected the Croire followed by Hill Giant, Arkemis the Bear, Hunker and Disintegrator at the end position of his lineup. He also decided to use the Tofu’s Thorns buff to give return damage to my monsters whenever they attack. Though 2 of his monsters were not maxed level, I was worried as he didn't choose any sneak or opportunity monsters, while I chose 4 and he only focused on defending with big monsters, so if my small monsters die from Thorns, it would be very hard for me to win this match.

As the match began, my Uraeus attacked first and put a dent in the Disintegrator’s armour and also applied Poison upon it, but got reverse damage from thorns which took Uraeus’s armour and also received a retaliate attack from the Disintegrator which wounded it down to 3 health. Though no monster died in the first round, the first 4 monsters in my lineup were wounded. However, in the second round when my Uraeus again attacked, this time the Disintegrator killed it down with Thorns + Retaliate and also Trample attacked upon the Venari Scout and then the same happened with my Ogre. But I was also having Thorns on all my monsters, so the evil Disintegrator finally died from Thorns. In the third round, my Halaran finally got its first kill after taking down the Croire, but my Arkemis also died by the enemy Hill Giant. In round 4, I killed down the Junker and as the battle continued, I easily killed the last 2 enemy monsters Hill gInt and Arkemis easily and thus won the match.

I hope you loved watching the battle with Halaran Huntress and also liked reading my battle post. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

I wish you all good luck with all of your future Splinterlands matches.

Excellent analysis of the Halaran. It's a versatile card with amazing abilities like Fly, Charge and Snare, making it a solid choice in all leagues. I also loved the battle recap. Thorns and strategic positioning really turned the tide.
