Splinterlands | CHAOS BATTLE MAGE is my New favourite Range card

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying this fabulous game in your daily free time. If you are a dedicated player then you must have noticed the splinterlands season timer has less than 2 day limit before this ongoing season ends. So we have to buckle up and fight well cause we do not have much time left before the season rewards become claimable. I guess all of you are working on your goals right now and either trying to reach a particular league or tier or fighting for a good spot in the champion leaderboard. For me, I am Currently Fighting at the Diamond I tier with a current trophy count of 3,550 and I am still 140 trophies away from my goal, which is to reach the Champion League before the season reset. With another almost 2 days time in hand, I will keep trying to push my trophy count by playing but the fact is, the newly launched rebellion summoners are giving me a hard time winning matches at this level. But still, I will be trying and let's see if anything good happens at the last moment.

Now moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another jaw dropping Reward card with you all that recently got introduced in the game. As you guys have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be showcasing Chaos Battle Mage, so without any further ado, let us all jump right in.

Chaos Battle Mage

CHAOS BATTLE MAGE is a monster type card that was introduced just recently in the game with the launch of the latest edition of the Rebellion Reward card set. This monster is a Legendary card, so you will need a total of 11 BCX of cards to upgrade it to max level. This monster belongs to the Neutral element so you use this monster with any other element cards if supported by match rulesets. It costs a whopping 8 mana cost to be used in battles, so you can use him when playing medium to high mana limit matches. This monster’s attack type is Ranged it also possesses a decent amount of Armour + Health combo along with a good speed and a bunch of abilities, which will definitely be useful in battles. Let us now take a further look into its stats and abilities league wise at below to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 1, this card possesses 3 ranged attack at 4 speed with 1 armour and 5 health along with the Piercing ability, which it gets since its initial level. With this ability, now whenever this monster breaks the armour of an enemy card, then instead of getting wasted, the excess damage will affect the enemy card's health.

SILVER

At level 2, this monster gets the same 3 ranged attack at 4 speed with 1 armour and 5 health and it also gets a new ability at second level called Rebirth. With this new ability, this monster can resurrect itself after it dies in the battle.

GOLD

When you upgrade it to level 3, it then receives the same 3 ranged attack at 4 speed with 1 armour and an increased 7 health and it also gets the Divine Shield Ability at this level. With this new ability, the first attack on this monster will be completely ignored.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade your monster to its max level 4, it receives 3 ranged attack at 4 speed with 1 armour and a further increased 8 health. Not only that, but it also gets a new ability even at its maximum level called Redemption. With this new ability, whenever this monster dies it will deal 1 damage to every enemy monster.

BATTLE STAT

After playing for a while today, I finally got this match where I thought I could use my Chaos Battle Mage. It was a large 48 mana match where 4 elements were allowed to choose from - Fire, Water, Death and Dragon. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - Neutral Only, Equaliser and Return Fire and after understanding the dynamics of this math, I started thinking about my strategy and then started building my lineup accordingly.

For this match, I chose the Legendary Dragon summoner Akane and at my first defensive position, I chose the Dumacke Orc followed by Junker, Nalara Geinek, Magi of Chaos, Doctor Blight and Chaos Battle Mage at the end position. When both the lineups got revealed later, I found out that my opponent had used the Legendary Dragon summoner Lorkus and at his first position, he chose the Legendary Mantaroth followed by Junker, Spirit Hoarder, Venka the Vile, Nalara Geinek and Doctor Blight at the end position.

BATTLE PERFORMANCE

As the battle begins, both my Ambush attackers miss their target and the first attack was done from enemy Venka and it also received Thorns damage in return. My Chaos Battle Mage also attacked the Mantaroth but missed its target. Then, the enemy Junker also attacked my Orc next but after getting Thorned and Retaliate attack, it was alive only with 2 health. Gladly, my Orc performed exceptionally well and killed the Mantaroth in the first round. At round round, Venka again attacked my Orc but it also did Thorns and Retaliate in return and left the Venka with only 4 health.

Next, my Chaos Battle Mage attacked and successfully killed the enemy Junker, followed by the enemy Nalara who finally killed my Orc. At round 3, my Junker also died due to poison, but my Chaos Battle Mage attacked and killed down the Spirit Hoarder. In the next step, my Chaos Battle Mage attacked again targeting the Venka and leaving it wounded and finally in the fourth round, my Magi killed it down. Sadly, my Chaos Battle Mage died in the 6th round by getting wounded back to back with the Return Fire ability. But at this point, my Magi Of Chaos and Doctor Blight were still fully alive and unharmed. So I easily killed down the enemy Nalara but sadly, at last, it got a Tie between us both of the Blights died at the same time.
