Every adult should bear the consequences of their own actions and not that of some generations you have no idea of their existence. Everyone should also always remember that whatever they do today, either good or bad will come back for their children.

I very much agree with what you say. Each person must be responsible for their life, we as children can help our parents, but not absorb their guilt, that sounds very terrible, because then someone who was very bad would prevent the spiritual progress of their children for many lives.
