Our way to the swimming classes - Wednesday walk
Hello everyone! Back here to tell you about our outing, this time to my youngest son's swimming lessons, who attends a heated pool on Mondays and Wednesdays to practice, but mostly to have fun and enjoy the water this summer season.
Although he is not yet swimming on his own, as he needs some support to be safe, at least his coach has managed to get him to stop using the floats and he has started to swim with the board!
As the classes have already started, we have to adjust to the timetable for leaving school and entering swimming, so with just enough time we grab lunch and go down to catch the bus. It doesn't take us more than 15 minutes to get there, but we have to be aware of the times the bus passes by our house.
As I almost never leave the area where we live, since my kids´ school and my work are right there, I take advantage of the opportunity to see the changes that take place outside my "borders".
On the way down, we have to walk a couple of blocks, on very nice sidewalks, not like the traditional concrete ones. That leads me to think that even if we are in a hurry, we should give ourselves time to appreciate the details of the places we pass by, because even if we do it often, there is always something new to discover.
My boy really enjoys his classes, and although at the beginning I put pressure on him to learn to swim, stressing the cost of tuition, his attitude has taught me that I should relax, because in his own words he asked to enter these classes to have a good time, the rest will come when it has to come.
And he is right! When we stop worrying about the result, and enjoy the process, everything happens in the best way. Now I understand his determination to sit at the window, walk looking at the sky or jump to avoid stepping on the stripes on the sidewalk.
Living a little bit his way, I have managed to find moments of relaxation in spaces I would never have imagined before!

And it is totally true when it is said that children also have things to teach their parents, what a nice Wednesday walk you gave me, pool and all.
Those sidewalks are very nice, of course it provokes to contemplate them.
I learned to swim in a month and I counted 8 lessons and I was 35 years old, my mom was 55 and learned a little slower, we all have a time to learn but we must take it relaxed, your son is very wise for his age.
@mamaemigrante 😊
Sooner than later you are going to miss every single moment with your kid, it's like that. So, be patient and continue to enjoy that special moment that is the best for him. You both are so beautiful and happy!! Greetings
How beautiful that reflection, we must enjoy the process and not live life in a mail run. In children we can see that innocence, that calm and how they enjoy small
How nice with their training, you learn day by day with them too and it's wonderful.
So true we try and teach our children and they can sometimes teach us valuable life lessons as well
Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks
Yay! 🤗

How beautiful what he has taught you, no doubt when we do not go through life running and wanting everything for already things are given to us in the best way and when we least expect it.
I'm glad your son is enjoying his classes my friend and you are right, we should focus on enjoying the process and not the results and he will surely do better. A hug!
I'm glad you were able to go back to swimming lessons, my friend. That helps Fabri a lot and although it adds a little more to your daily activities, it also helps you to clear your mind a little.
