Ying Adapting to her new home and litter box.
For everyone it has been a somewhat complicated process to adapt to all the changes we have had. Since we moved into the apartment that belonged to my grandparents we have had some clashes of thoughts and opinions. But little by little my brothers and I are adapting.
But for my cat son Ying it has not been an easy process. Changing it from an environment with more space and a large patio to another with no patio, no garden and smaller has cost him to understand and feel comfortable. At first he looked very stressed and scared, hiding in any corner and only peeking out to look for water and food.
The days passed and Ying was coming out of hiding and became more familiar with the new apartment. But what started to worry me was that he had never used a litter box and I knew that was going to be a big challenge. Ying has a schedule to relieve himself and I started monitoring him to help him understand that now everything had changed. I had bought him a special cat litter beforehand and got a drawer to use as a litter box while I get a special one for that.
When I saw that he was getting very restless I understood that it was time to take him to his box and show him. When I placed him in his box I began to talk to him and caress him, so that he would understand that there he should relieve himself. It has always seemed to me that animals understand when you speak to them with a lot of love and I hoped that in this case Ying would understand me.
But he didn't want to do anything and hid. Try to get him out of the apartment and give him a tour of the outskirts, where there is a small garden and land. But fear won him over. He did nothing. He only walked little and a half sniff, but any noise scared him. So we went back to the apartment.
He became more and more restless and I became more worried. Again I carried him and took him to his litter box and with his paws I began to pretend that he buried something. That's when he understood. After a few minutes Ying began to sniff and dig until she finally used the box. For me it was a great relief because I had not been to the bathroom for a whole day.
Leave the litter box in the bathroom so you get used to doing it there.
I had read on the internet that to get Ying used to her litter box I could give her a prize every time she used the box and that I started doing. And to my relief and amazement it worked! Now Ying knows how to use her litter box and that has me calmer. Now the only challenge I have now is to get him used to his day or night walks with his new bib.
I would be grateful if you give me tips for i9r accustoming him to walks, I had never used a bib and I would like him to leave the apartment to get some fresh air. I will be grateful to them. Greetings and thanks for reading.😘 💜

No hizo nada.
Let her remain in the apartment for at least 3 weeks before you start trying to take her out. She may never like to take walks and then it's best to leave her alone
