Introduction

There's more to #GHAWG than just daily zapfic entries and the spreadsheet I use to track them. There's research. There's review. There's also thought and inspiration. Then there are the tools involved in doing any of those tasks.

Just to keep things from getting scrambled in my head, and also to document for myself what I've been considering, I began keeping a diary of my activities as they concern #GHAWG. With posts in the GHAWG, Uninterrupted series on hold at Interlude 3 while Act 7 remains in progress, I decided to share these diary entries with everyone on Hive blockchain.

On Mondays which don't feature a GHAWG, Uninterrupted post-- GHAWG-U-- I'll post diary entries from the previous 7 days or between GHAWG-U posts if the time between them is short. For Part 42, there are 7 days' worth of diary entries. The first entry starts on 2024-August-19.

Before anyone scratches their heads at a few terms, here are 3 I began using many posts ago:

Monday, 2024-August-19

📓 Today my on-chain time was limited, so I wasn't able to finish The GHAWG Diaries in time for scheduled. Although I wrote most of the text, I still needed to add backlinks for search engine optimization (SEO). Cover image would be the last thing I do before I publish the post tomorrow.

Tuesday, 2024-August-20

📓 The day is coming when Old Route 66 will be left behind after Felix Legion rides out of Chicago, Illinois, US. The next milestone for Felix Legion is to get The Kids, Sanjay Rampersad and
Lionel Odunsi, back to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After that, the next milestone is Iowa and the various places where The Newlyweds (David and Rhonda Bella Guardia), The Twins (Hank Marchenko and
Frank Marchenko), and Lindsay Etxeberria call (or will call) home. The Twins will branch off to ride home, while David and wife Rhonda will escort Lindsay home to her parents' home before they escort her to her final destination in Iowa, the room over the shop operated by the Brothers Marchenko. When the Etxeberria family reunion takes place, it will feature David Guardia as we had never seen him before. This will also be a preview of what he will do in the final zapfic serial The Bronze. While had had difficulty getting Felix Legion through New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma, I'm expecting the rest of David's Epic Ride to be easier to write. We will see.

Wednesday, 2024-August-21

📓 The last time I worked on the GHAWG timeline was 2024-April-15, so additonal work on this timeline is overdue. Even though I have GHAWG calendar dates going through the overnight stay at McLean, Texas, US, I can't certify these dates at this time as being accurate. I'll need to return to the day Our Heroes-- the yet-to-be Felix Legion led by David Guardia together with The Mongols led by Harry Hoqualogue-- left STURGIS for San Diego, California, US via Seattle, Washington, US and Portland, Oregon, US. Now that I have the zapfic queue going to 2024-October-04, I can devote time to updating the GHAWG timeline in the spreadsheet I use to track zapfic entries. While this spreadsheet will need other updates and maintenance, this one takes precedence.

Thursday, 2024-August-22

📓 I added three entries to the zapfic queue. so now it goes to 2024-October-04. These entries seem as if they came out of nowhere, but in fact they provide breadcrumbs or foreshadowing for a change Lindsay Etxeberria will make in her life after she (and the rest of Felix Legion) is done with David Guardia's Epic Ride. When she left behind in Portland, Oregon her far-left activism, she was seeking a fresh start in her life. This change will be the most concrete representation of this fresh start.

Friday, 2024-August-23

📓 When GHAWG reches 2024-October-04, Felix Legion will have reached Springfield, Illinois, US. This puts the crew 2 days away from Chicago, Illinois, US and the end of Old Route 66. The 120-mile mark of the day's ride would put Felix Legion at Dwight, Illinois, US, but travel lodging is limited to non-existent there. However, it turns out that Chicago is less than 150 miles from Springfield. Felix Legion will make that longer-than-usual ride into Chicago. GHAWG time will be one day, but it's anyone's guess how many zapfic entries I'll need to get Felix Legion to Chicago, and then toset up the set-piece I have in mind.

Saturday, 2024-August-24

📓 Since Felix Legion is at Springfield, Illinois, US as of 2024-October-04, it is one day away from the easter terminus of Old Route 66: the major league city of Chicago. Before adding to the zapfic queue, I wanted to trace Old Route 66 from Springfield to Chicago.
From what I saw, Old Route 66 bounces off Interstate 55 as it goes northeast from Springfield to Chicago. On top of that, at some point near Pontiac, Illinois, US-- about 86 miles south and west of Chicago-- I-55 takes on the name Barack Obama Presidential Expressway. On one hand, Obama is still alive, so having a major highway named after him seems like too much; in his defense, it was the General Assembly of Illinois which had the idea to rename a stretch of I-55 after him. On the other hand, Obama hailed from Chicago when he represented Illinois in the United States Senate before he ran for president in 2008. My next task is to determine how far the Obama Presidential Library is from I-55 since Felix Legion needs to find its way there. Although it is at most less than 6 miles south of I-55, I don't know the exact location of the end of Old Route 66 on or near I-55.

Sunday, 2024-August-25

📓 Today I continued my quest to locate the Obama Presidential Library in relation to Old Route 66 on Interstate 55. I know enough to say that this building (to be completed in 2026, the year in which GHAWG starts) is located in Jackson Park in the area of Chicago known as the South Side. Jackson Park itself contains a stretch of DuSable Lakeshore Drive, the highway close to Lake Michigan. At some point within Chicago city limits Old Route 66 branches off I-55, then it continues until it reaches the the Art Institute of Chicago at the intersection of East Adams Street and South Nichigan Avenue. Both the Art Institute of Chicago and Jackson Park are near Lake Michigan, but the museum is still about 6.25 miles north of the north edge of Jackson Park. Although Chicago has been riddled with crime for years (much longer than my native New York City), things will be OK by the time Felix Legion rides into town. Even after Felix Legion enters Chicago, it will be a few zapfic entries before it finds itself at the Obama Presidential Library where David Guardia will have some words for both the political leaders of the city and the voters who keep putting these political leaders back in office election after election.

This is the normal schedule for the posting of content for #GHAWG:
● Daily -- Each zapfic entry is posted shortly after midnight, from New York
● Weekends -- Weekly Summaries (with modified screen capture from LeoThreads as cover image) are usually on Saturday, sometimes Sunday
● Monday -- Either GHAWG, Uninterrupted if present, or The GHAWG Diaries
● Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday -- GHAWG Behind the Scenes -- The goal is to publish these posts on all days not dedicated to the Weekly Sumamry, GHAWH-U, or The GHAWG Diaries (TGD). There may be days with no post, so I'll minimize those occasions as best as I can.

Where

● Daily zapfic entries drop at LeoThreads, usually posted shortly after midnight from New York (sometimes around noon)
● All long form posts-- Weekly Summaries, GHAWG-U, and TGD-- can be accessed using the #GHAWGnav sticky post or from my InLeo profile page
