What Is GHAWG?

#GHAWG is short for "God's Hog: A Watchful Guardian." This fictional story tells how David Guardia, a courier and business owner from Bayonne, New Jersey, US moved into the next phase of his life after spending the final ten years of his ailing father's life helping him.

More details can be found in the first post of this weekly recap.

As Emilio Ibáñez & Luther Jackson led chants of "CHICAGO FOREVER!" people also heard the unmistakeable sound made famous by Harley-Davidson. Cameras were recording Lieutenant Leo's arrival with a Harley rider and his tri-cycle.

https://inleo.io/threads/view/magnacarta/re-magnacarta-fzvuq8fa

🏍️ The chant "WAKANDA FOREVER" was made famous by the Black Panther Cpmics series from Marvel Comics. It was immortalized in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies featuring not just the aforementioned Black Panther but also The Avengers as one of the theaters of war versus the intergalactic forces of Thanos was Wakanda, native land of the Black Panther.

While nothing like that was happening in Chicago when we meet not only Felix Legion but also the Chicago personalities Emilio Ibáñez, Luther Jackson, Terry Leo, and Mrs. Hernandez, a low-level grassroots movement begun in 2024 came to full bloom by October 2028 as the residents decided to take back Chicago not only from criminal elements but feckless political leadership. Perhaps the most amazing development from this movement was the gangs of Chicago joining in solidarity with the people upon whom they preyed until outsiders having no busines being in Chicago arrived in great numbers in the early 2020s.

6️⃣5️⃣1️⃣ 2024-November-24 22:49:51

"I don't believe this," began Aníbal Rivera. "Of all the people to appear in this part of Chicago at this moment in history, it's David Guardia, live in the flesh. Does he have a message from The Lord to deliver? We shall see."

https://inleo.io/threads/view/magnacarta/re-magnacarta-2vudjg6mk

🏍️ On at least 2 occasions since their last meeting in a {hospital room} in Le Claire, Iowa, US, independent journalist Aníbal Rivera found himself having to talk about David Guardia, someone he never even knew existed three months earlier. Since they will meet again shortly, Rivera will get to see David as Prophet.

Emilio Ibáñez, Luther Jackson, & other rival gang leaders parked their people alongside members of the CPD. Even if the black bloc brigade could take on CPD, they lacked the numbers to fight the gangs of Chicago; so they froze.

🏍️ One shameful characteristic of life in the early 2020s was the priliferation and explosion of "mostly peaceful" protests. "Mostly peaceful" protests-- a term of art repeated ad nauseam by corporate media-- is simply a euphemism for riots. If a "mostly peaceful" protest includes even 1% of violence, it ceases being a protest and is automatically transformed into a riot with some degree of violence.

Not always, but in many of these "mostly peaceful" protests in the early 2020s there were professional agitators whose characteristic form of dress was black clothing from head to toe (oftentimes including a face covering). The combination of professional agitators and "amateur" True Belivers who dressed in this fashion is loosely known as the black bloc brigade.

Most places which kept local police and other law enforcement on a close leash became havns for elements of the black bloc brigade. Although not to the same degree as in Portland, Oregon, US or Seattle, Wahington, US or Minneapolis, Minnesota, US, Chacago had more than its fair share of black bloc brigade elements.

Lt. Leo calmly walked the line where CPD riot police were stationed. I stayed in place reviewing the scene around me. I had never expected to see police officers high-five the gangs they were trained to remove from the streets.

🏍️ From relentless conditioning by corporate media over decades of his Generation X life, David Guardia expected to find himself in the midst of chaos and disorder which had a good chance of ending very badly for him. It's why he rode through most of northern Illinois with the uncanny Manny Rey in one day in July 2028, in order to avoid whatever civil unrest was taking place at that time.

6️⃣5️⃣4️⃣ 2024-November-26 21:59:57

As I reviewed the scene around me, I noticed a familiar face advancing toward me.

"Is that Aníbal Rivera?" Frank asked me.

"Indeed it is."

"He knows you?" asked Hank.

"We've met a couple of times during my ride to STURGIS."

https://inleo.io/threads/view/magnacarta/re-magnacarta-7bw8z2bu

🏍️ Although in recent years he had been doing his work in the online world of podcasting and independent journalism, Aníbal Rivera is a legendary journalist and reporter who career goes back to the 1970s, when David Guardia himself was too young to attend school. Most Americans knew of Aníbal Rivera whether it was for award winning journalism involving the forgotten people of society or his daytime series which refefined television. Even though he gained fame defending the defenseless both as a lawyer and as a journalist, he's just as famous for his high-flying nightlife activities among the jet setters during the Disco Era.

6️⃣5️⃣5️⃣ 2024-November-28 14:43:03

Aníbal Rivera looked at me as the distance between closed. However, he made his way to Terry Leo to interview him.

"Lieutenant Leo," said Rivera, "How do you think today's events effect your run for Mayor of Chicago next year?"

https://inleo.io/threads/view/magnacarta/re-magnacarta-5buxffyp

🏍️ This revelation about Terry Leo by Aníbal Rivera seems to be unexpected and out of place, yet it's integral to the character. Chicago's elections for mayor are many months into the future, but it's never too early to establish name recognition with the voters. He may not have planned it this way, but Terry Leo is taking advantage of this opportunity to raise his profile as a candidate for the highest office in his native city.

6️⃣5️⃣6️⃣ 2024-November-28 15:28:00

"Whether I survive primaries or win election doesn't matter right now," began Leo. "My focus now is making sure no mayhem ensues."

"What's it like being an African-American Republican in Chicago?"

"You ask me that today??"

https://inleo.io/threads/view/magnacarta/re-magnacarta-2zsymkteh

🏍️ 1931 was the last time Chicago had a mayor from the Republican Party. By the time we see Felix Legion in Chacago, it will have been 97 years since then. Domination of Chicago by Democrats is nearly total, so it's rare to find a Republican in Chicago. With Terry Leo being a Chicago African-American who is also a Republican, he is considered by many to be a unicorn figure. Because of the events taking place at that moment and because of what kind of person he is, Terry Leo was astounded that he would be asked that sort of question at that time.

6️⃣5️⃣7️⃣ 2024-November-29 15:14:54

"It's my 1st time interviewing you, so yes," Rivera said to Leo.

"It's the same to me as being an African-American Democrat in Chicago."

"What?"

"That's not how I think. Chicago needs help; I'm on the way. That's how it is."

https://inleo.io/threads/view/magnacarta/re-magnacarta-2kfabemai

🏍️ While Terry Leo cannot deny that he is African-American, he treats that immutable characteristic of his being as background information: it is a foundational aspect of who he is, yet he doesn't let it dominate his view of himself or how he should behave. That's why he told Aníbal Rivera that as an African-American Republican he feels the same as an African-American Democrat: When it comes to certain topics or conditions, Democrats and Republicans have more in common with each other than what their differences show. Chief among them for Terry Leo is quality of life.

6️⃣5️⃣8️⃣ 2024-November-30 16:00:06

After Aníbal Rivera asked Lt. Leo what he wanted to ask, he shifted his attention to me.

"What brings you to Chicago?"

"Route 66. We began riding from Santa Monica three weeks ago."

"So that's how you ended up in Santa Fe."

https://inleo.io/threads/view/magnacarta/re-magnacarta-32tc53or8

🏍️ Last time we saw Felix Legion in Santa Fe, New Mexico, US, it took a daring display of theatricality for David Guardia and his people to exit the city due to the road blockage by environmental protesters. This was also the moment where Felix Legion as we know it came into being, wher Lindsay Etxeberria had earned the Felix Legion name "Fonzie" for jumping over the mob. More relevant at the moment is the fact that Aníbal Rivera found himself having to talk about David Guardia instead of his favorite topic (himself) or any other topic.

Story Arc So Far

Independent journalist Anibal Rivera finds both Lieutenant Terry Leo of the Chicago Police Department Auxiliary and David Guardia when Felix Legion brings Leo to the Obama Presidential Library. Rivera first interviews Leo, then he asks David how he found himself in Chicago on this particular day.

With the Route 66 storyline concluded, Act 7 comes to a close and Interlude 4 begins immediately. Interlude 4 takes place in just 1 day, but it's a day featuring history in the making. Introduced in Interlude 4 are gang leaders Emilio Ibáñez and Luther "Big Lu" Jackson, Lieutenant Terry Leo of the Chicago Police Department Auxiliary, and Mrs. Hernandez,
