The Plucky Squire a tribute to the magic of storybooks.

Hello, my dear friends from #HiveGaming! Today, I'm here once again to share with you this game I recently discovered yesterday during one of the few moments I had electricity.

Perhaps some of you are already familiar with it since it's quite a recent game, but for those who, like me, hadn’t heard about it, I highly recommend checking it out. I’m talking about The Plucky Squire (Escudero Valiente), a beautiful and fun game. This title, developed by All Possible Futures and published by Devolver Digital, is both a tribute to children's storybooks and a love letter to video games as an art form.

From the moment we begin, The Plucky Squire transports us to a magical universe where characters come to life on the pages of a storybook. The story follows Jota, a brave squire from the kingdom of Moyo, who must face the villain Gruñonzón.

The environments are full of details that capture the essence of children's storybooks. From enchanted castles to magical forests, every corner of the game tells a story. But it's not just the visual design that stands out—the soundtrack is another strong point. Each melody perfectly complements the emotions of the characters and situations, immersing you even further into this fantasy world.

What truly makes it special is its ability to blend the old with the new. It’s a game that respects the roots of classic adventure and platform games while innovating with modern mechanics and unconventional level design. It is, at its core, a tribute to imagination and creativity.

It also has a spectacular sense of humor, which even managed to make me laugh a lot, despite my rather peculiar sense of humor, during the time I played it. It’s pure brilliance. Combined with its lighthearted narrative and visual design that blends the simplicity of hand-drawn illustrations with modern, detailed graphics, it becomes an impressive visual experience.

If you’re looking for a game that combines action, adventure, puzzles, and a heartwarming narrative, The Plucky Squire is an experience you can’t miss. Step into Jota’s shoes and get ready for a journey filled with magic, nostalgia, and surprises. Dare to turn the page and discover what awaits you!

Available for PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC, there’s no excuse to miss out on this gem.

The aesthetics of the video game is perfect, it really seems that you are turning the pages of a book. In fact, at times I thought you were teaching one of your stories that you kept from your childhood, hehe. What a shame that there is no mobile version, I would have looked for it immediately thanks to your recommendation.

Artistically the game is a beauty. I played the first few hours because I wanted to try it and I found it very good, especially for how creative it is in many things. The only negative thing I've heard is that as you progress it becomes too simple, as if it was very focused on children, but it's not bad.
