Greetings from Sri Lanka. What's up guys? I hope you are enjoying this new week better. I haven't been able to post content regularly these days due to my busy work situation. I would like to mention that I join this platform as often as I can, although it is a pity that I have not been able to present the latest content due to the fact that I have to give more time to work. It was my thirty-seventh birthday last Wednesday, June 28th, so we went to a restaurant near our workplace to celebrate a birthday party with my work colleagues. The valid area was located about two kilometers away from our place of work. Somehow we managed to make my birthday party more glamorous. So to celebrate my birthday party, I came with four friends to a restaurant called kitchen house in Walahanduwa. The flavors of the dishes available there are very high and the prices are also reasonable. What I hope to present here are some of the unique architectural features seen in the kitchen house restaurant.

Actually, it was late evening when we got there, so it was a bit dark. So it was a little dark in taking these photos, but I felt you could get some idea of the architectural elements and the setting here. This kitchen house establishment is located on the main road near Pinnaduwa, an entrance gate of the Southern Expressway. I am very happy about the value given to the environment of this place despite being full of noisy environment. They do their work with a lot of understanding, especially about the proper maintenance of a garden. Several places have been built in this kitchen house for the guests to get food and drinks as they like. It is a unique situation to be able to get those foods properly added to the environment where they want.

The walls of the kitchen house restaurant are made of clay bricks. The clay bricks are colored. But I saw that the clay brick walls were not raised up. So the visitors had an opportunity to open up to the wind. It is a unique opportunity to get food freely.

The kitchen house restaurant did not have clay brick walls everywhere. In some places, pieces of wood were used as a support. It is a unique architectural element that was used instead of walls. The concrete floors were cemented but not painted. Therefore, I got to see a natural character. The other unique thing is that wooden chairs and benches are seen almost everywhere in this restaurant. But in some places only a different type of arrangement could be seen. This arrangement of wooden chairs provides a unique support not only for having free food but also for enjoying pleasure.

The roof of some places of the kitchen house restaurant was seen in a triangular shape. A type of roofing sheet Sri Lankans called "Takarang" was used for them. In addition to the arrangement of wooden chairs and tables, wooden benches and tables were used to get food in another place. They arrange to provide more or less light for night guests to enjoy themselves.

Although it did not have a very special shape, we saw a shape that gives opportunity to naturalness in this restaurant.

A collection of old photographs of historical places located in Galle city was kept in this place. By seeing them, we get a better understanding of their old appearance. These old photographs kept by the restaurant authority will give us the opportunity to add more to our knowledge.

*A small pond can be seen in the garden of the restaurant. The fact that an elongated shape of a pot has been created inside the pond gives this restaurant a unique beauty.

Also, the fact that the flowers and ornamental plants that provide various beauties are planted in this restaurant garden also brings a lot of attraction. The pots in which the flowers are planted also have a unique shape. Through this restaurant built using simple architecture, I can see it as a place full of opportunity to give priority to the environment.

An iron fence has been built on the side of the main road. To make it easy to identify the restaurant, name boards can be seen along the iron fence. In addition to ornamental plants, palm varieties are also grown in this garden to add appeal to the outside as well.

*In order to add attraction to the interior of the restaurant, you can also see the lights at night. Apart from that, the lights hanging outside also have a special attraction and light. These are sure to mesmerize the visitors.

In the garden of the kitchen house, grass clippings have been placed on the ground. Apart from that, cement pieces have also been pasted for walking in the park. As the photos were taken at night, you can see that it is a bit dark. However, it was a great place to celebrate my charm birthday party. I really like this simple patterns of architectural designs in the kitchen house.
