Hello my dear friends? How are you? I hope you are spending your time more freely on this relaxing Sunday. A few months ago, I sent an urgent message to my friend to find five families living in the Nugaduwa village area who were suffering from economic difficulties, with the aim of spending some money I earned on the Hive platform and providing dry food assistance to those families. My friend introduced those families to me within two days. Accordingly, my wife and I inquired about their economic situation and family background. In fact, we saw firsthand that those people were in a very helpless situation.

Accordingly, 10,000 Sri Lankan rupees were allocated for each family. Accordingly, 50,000 Sri Lankan rupees were allocated for the 5 families and we left for Krishna Food City in Pettigalawatta, Galle to obtain dry food. Since I received the goods at a lower price than I expected, I was able to buy other items than the list of items I had written down. It was another relief for the needy families.

Accordingly, I bought rice, lentils, large onions, potatoes, sugar, flour, dry milk powder, canned salmon, soy meat, noodles, etc., and with the remaining money, I also bought toothpaste, soap, anise, salt powder, biscuit packets, etc. and came home to parcel them separately. I prepared separate parcels for the five families and called my friend on the phone and informed the five families to come to the same place by 5 pm.

They had arrived at the promised time, and I took steps to deliver the relevant parcels to them separately. In fact, they informed me that they had even reduced their daily meals due to the difficult economic situation they were facing and expressed special gratitude. It is an innocent joy to be able to help a few people who are in need with the income I have earned. Although there were several other families in that village, it was not possible to help everyone. I hope to do more such humanitarian social service in the future.
