Stir fry mashed plantains
It's my pleasure to be here ones more, sharing another meal that I enjoyed cooking so much.
Well, this one was very new to me because it was a friend from Venezuela that told me how to do it, I asked her to give me a very simple recipe that I'll make with my plantain so she gave me series of recipe to choose from, so I picked this one. This one she said, mashed plantains stir fried in some toppings, it sounded nice so I decided to give it a try!
Ingredients
- 2 pieces of not too riped plantains
- 2 pieces of carrots
- 4 chili pepper
- 2 small onions
- 1/2 cooking spoon of vegetable oil
- 1 handful of cabbage
- Ginger 1 small piece
- Turmeric a small piece
- 1 table spoon of natural mixed spices
Procedure
The procedure to make this wasn't that difficult anyway. I peeled the plantains and cut them into smaller shapes
Next thing I put them in a pot, added water and salt, allowed it to boil.
While at it, I chopped the onions, carrot and pepper, grated the ginger and turmeric
I checked the plantain it was done, so I sieved the water
I transferred the plantains to a mortar and pound it till it's mashed properly
Next I put a pot to heat, added the oil and onions to saute. I also added the chopped peppers to it
I added the grated ginger and tumeric
Next was the carrots, and then the cabbage.
I added the spice and stirred properly.
I then added the mashed plantains to the mixture and stirred properly to mix
After that the food was ready!
It gave a delightful, nice and sweet taste, I enjoyed it so much.
I loved the process it took, very easy and I'm happy I gave it a try.
Thank you all for your time here, I hope you enjoyed the process! See you next time 🤗
